Bought this to service a MAC migration. Worked great with the built in Apple wizard.

Too bad it doesn't work.

Two Win11 computers, latest updates. DOES NOT WORK. Tried PC-Ling5 software on both computers, won't see each other across this cable. PC-Linq5 Software is Version 1.64 from....1998!!! 1998 and no way to update.Tried the second software, Easy Computer Sync and after wading through all the Buy This Software to get to the "free 30-day trial", it installed, then it DID NOT WORK. Running on both computers but sat at Waiting To Connect for fifteen minutes before I gave up. Junk cable, unusable software.

Cannot get software to run

I followed the instructions and dowloaded the software. Installed the software and cannot get it to run. I went with this option to tranfer my files from my old laptop to my new laptop. I have now gone with tranferring files using my google drive.

Fried my brand new computer.

Fried my brand new computer. And before you ask, I followed the instructions TO THE LETTER. I read them several times, and ran it like a checklist.Had the software downloaded and running - it said it was ready to be plugged in - but when I plugged in the cable I heard a loud POP, and the whole thing shut down.I got it mostly back up and running, but none of the lights work any more.

It works, fast

Worked like a charm- software installed on old Mac and new Windows 10 machine. Data transferred in under 20 minutes.

Poor performance

Not worth the cost. I connected two USB-C computers, hoping that I could get close to top speed transfers. The PC is an Alienware gaming PC and the laptop is a Dell XPS both with the latest drivers. Both computers were running and transferring to/from m.2 ssd's. Performance was abysmal. Sending this back.

Speed of transfer

The USB transfer is slow compared to what it was as advertised for. I got at best 42MB/s when transferring from a desktop to a laptop from USB 3 to USB C.When it asks a question about a file that it cannot copy, no question really. it leaves you with Skip or Cancel. Windows gives more options.
