If you leave them on a flat surface they work fine. Keep them flat in storage or they can warp. The lip stays down and let's you roll slow putts without issue.

There are all kinds of putting aids available, some are so expensive you might as well buy a golf course so you can practice there any time, lol. HOW TRUE 2 PCS All-Direction Golf Putting Cups are cheap and work well. I place a cup on both sides of my family room and putt away. When I've putted all the golf balls into (or near) that cup, I go to that one and putt them back to the other. They're cheap and work. Highly recommended.
