It definitely does the job. However, the silicone one still hurts my tongue when I use it. You have to be really gentle. I do like that it comes with three silicone ones and a metal one to try out.

Buyer beware - while the metal cleaner works well, the three plastic cleaners I received all have rough burrs. Unfortunately I opened the pink one and the rough edge was not noticeable when I washed it, but it cut my tongue on the first pass. I inspected them all closer and found rough burrs on all three on both the hard and softer side. The green is the most obvious. I wish I could get clearer pictures, but hopefully you can see in what I posted.If you are ordering for the plastic cleaners, I would look elsewhere.

I only dropped one star because while the product DOES work as described, I feel that the scraping part of the plastic scrapers are too flimsy. Using the metal tongue scraper seems to feel like the most effective method.
