Q: Does this product help with tartar?

It definitely does remove the tartar. Get a scrapper to make it quick.

Q: My dentist told me alcohol based rinses may increase plaque because they dry your mouth? Is this true?

I would go without alcohol as it kills the beneficial bacteria in your mouth unless you really have bad gum disease or something like that. In that case, I'd follow an alcohol rinse with some probiotic lozenges to help replace the good bacteria in your mouth.

Q: Does this work if you have braces or will this unlglue your brackets like it does the plaque

Online it says that it is okay to use with Silver and gold braces, but to avoid this product with clear braces.

Q: Why is this $16+ only 16 oz., when the 24 oz bottle is I ly $6?

I don't know- but I've since found it for much less at Target and Walmart
