Functional & easy install
We have a senior cat who has to be kept separate from our 3 dogs so we divide our day up making sure everyone get a run at the house. Because she is getting up there in age sometimes she can’t hold it long enough between roaming to use the litter box which is why we ordered this & its pretty cool. Arrived this afternoon & I installed it myself in under 30 minutes with only a small hammer & a flat head screw driver since I don’t have a saw ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I installed it inside the back corner of my daughters closet and it goes into the laundry room directly to the left of the litter box. It’s not the easiest thing to line up but luckily it doesn’t have to be flush to function perfectly & still look nice. Only one minor cosmetic flaw where I accidentally scraped paint off my wall under the tail but I’m going to touch it up with paint tomorrow and it will be good as new. I do have to say the adhesive is useless, I’m going to install clear mirror holders around the tail side to hold it in place, something like that really should come with them. It’s bigger than I expected which is great because I was actually worried it would be too small. When she crosses the rainbow bridge or when we relocate, whichever comes first, it will take a 10 minutes quick sparkle job to cover & a small roller of touch up paint to make it look like it was never even there. Pricier than I would have paid if I would have seen it in person before buying but I used my rewards so even there I can’t complain too much. Now all we need is for her to use it!

Simple design is effective once you get it installed.
I purchased and started to install this portal when I discovered that the wall I was attempting to pass through was actually constructed with 2x6s and 5/8 sheetrock on both sides. The supplied plastic tube was far too short so I started looking for safe alternatives. After measuring everything, I discovered that the manufacturer had made the ring diameter nominally 8". I found an 8" x 48" concrete form(big thick cardboard tube) at my local orange big box store for a few dollars and cut it to the proper length. Fit together like a charm so I used wood glue on one side (product faces are made of wood) and secured to the walls with the adhesive strips for now. The cats love it and use it constantly (16ish pounds each). The total length of my adjusted tunnel was 7 3/8 inches but this will vary based on the wall and sheetrock thickness, make sure to add in the depth of the groove in the faces on each side for a nice secure fit.

Good but could be better.
The tube and the end caps are well made, but mine was assembled poorly. There were only a few spots of cement attaching the tube to the end cap with the ears. The tube wasn’t continuous either. It was just a heavy sheet of plastic rolled up and riveted together. Those rivets stick out and catch on the drywall as you’re trying to install it.In retrospect, I should have ditched the instructions and saved the 3M tape for something else. Do this instead:1. Remove all the factory glue from the end where the tube is attached. It is easy to separate those pieces as there was probably 3-4 drops of glue holding on to both pieces.2. Run a bead of contact cement along the entire groove of one end.3. Insert one end of the tube into this groove. The section where the rivets hold the tube together is twice as thick as the others, so this will give you the most trouble when inserting the tube into the groove. Set this end on some paper or something to catch any drips.4. Put the other end cap on the tube and then put some books or something flat and heavy to keep the tube pressed into the groove with the contact cement (I used a carton of canned pet food). Let this sit and dry according to the directions for the contact cement.5. When it is dry, put the unglued end of the tube against the wall where you want to install it. Then trace around the edge with a pen or pencil. Use a drywall knife to cut this circle out.6. Push the tube into the wall until it hits the drywall on the other side. Use the knife to cut small guide holes through the drywall along the inside of the tube.7. Remove the tube, align it with the holes that you’ve just made, and trace around the outside of the tube. Cut this circle out with the drywall knife.8. Push the tube in from the original side until the glued end touches the wall. About 1/4” or 1cm or so of the tube will stick out on the other side of the wall.9. Run a bead of contact cement in the groove on the other end, line up this groove with the tube, reach through the tunnel to hold onto the other end, and push the end cap onto the tube. At this point, you can rotate this end cap to spread the contact cement around and/or to move the entire assembly so the cat ears and tail are pointed in the directions that you want. Hold these three pieces together as tightly as you can until the last piece is set.

Perfect!
The media could not be loaded. I was initially looking for a similar product to use on my bedroom door. One of my Feline Rulers does not allow me to sleep with my door closed at night. If he is in, he wants out and if he is out, he wants in. I then decided I had the perfect spot to go a step further and put a hole in my house, just for the cats. It had very simple instructions. I didn’t have a saw; I used a screw driver, hammer, box cutter, and a knife. I don’t suggest this method, it’s just what worked for me.I will note that the second hole was more difficult to cut from the inside of the first one. I inserted the tunnel and drew a circle inside the other wall. When marking and scoring the second hole from the inside, the paint pops out and there were a couple tears on the hallway side of the Kitty Pass. So if both sides of your tunnel are finished, use caution when cutting the second hole so as not to cause any cosmetic damage on the other side. The small paint tears were covered by the “face” and everything worked out perfect. As others commented, this is larger than I expected it to be. However, two of my owners are pretty hefty and it works perfect for them. I also have a senior kitty that goes through the tunnel easily.Once I had the holes cut to the right size and everything in place, I didn’t have any issues lining up the cat butt to the back of the tunnel. I did not have any issue with the 3M adhesive strips, but were only two days in.Yes, maybe a little pricey, but the materials seem solid and the ears and tail outer rings are made of wood. I would buy this all over again.

The price
The design is good, the installation has to be adapted and modified with a longer pipe for a wall with more thickness. But the price is very, very too hight for the value of the materiel! Anybody get some access to wood's tool can do it!

Looks great
This was a really good item. Took a bit of measuring to install neatly, but once done and painted it's perfect.
