This iProven thermometer is a lifesaver! It's so fast and easy to use, giving me a reading in seconds. I love the color-coded display – it makes it super simple to see if there's a fever. Plus, the memory function is a great help for tracking temperatures over time. It's definitely worth the investment for peace of mind, especially with little ones around.

The media could not be loaded. I've never owned a forehead thermometer before, but I love it! It's so much nicer than sticking an oral thermometer in my mouth, especially when I'm not feeling well. The thermometer comes in a nice, soft pouch with a drawstring, and there are directions for forehead use and ear use. There's also a bonus use for measuring the ambient room temperature! When you first take it out of the pouch, you'll need to remove the plastic tab sticking out of the battery compartment (it takes 2 AAAs that are included). You can also remove the protective film over the screen. There are only two buttons, Head and Ear, so it is very simple to use.To use on the forehead, simply press and hold the Head button as you lightly touch it to the side of your eye, then in between your eyes, then to the side of your other eye. When you release the Head button, it will beep once and display your temperature (see the video of my husband demonstrating this). If your temperature is normal, the screen will be green. If your temperature is high, it will beep several times and the display will be red. If you press the tip to your forehead too firmly, you will get a reading that is too high. A light touch is all you need. To use in the ear, you need to take the white forehead cap off. When you put it in your ear, you need to make sure it's pointed at the eardrum, so gently pull the ear up and back. When it's in position, press the Ear button once. To measure the ambient room temperature, point it at the ceiling and press the Ear button once. It's as simple as that!This really is a wonderful thermometer! There's no wait time, it's not invasive, and it's quite accurate. The backlight is convenient for nighttime use, and I love that it comes with a pouch for storage. I highly recommend this thermometer if you hate oral thermometers, if you have children, or if you're looking for a fancy, but affordable thermometer!

I had been very sketchy about purchasing any forehead/ear thermometers in the stores because I just didn't know the quality. I also was concerned that they might not work or that the temperature readings might not be accurate. Of course my child happens to be sick, so when this arrived I was glad to see that it showed he had a fever. I was sure he did, and I was using a very old thermometer. I wasn't sure of its accuracy and I ordered this thermometer so the whole family would have one to use. The accuracy so far seems to be right on. It's VERY simple to use and it's very quick with its readings. I know I read in a answer from iproven that you can silent the beeps, so I was glad to know that. I like to check his temp while he's asleep. I can't give a 5 star warning only because I haven't used the product very long and it wouldn't be very honest of me to say I know without a doubt the product will work perfectly for the time it is under warranty. I would recommend this to a friend. I also am not to sure on how much I actually saved, but it sure looked like a great value! I will be using a alcohol wipe to clean the thermometer if I use it in the ear. I have found for the forehead, that there aren't usually any bodily fluids to get it contaminated.

This thermometer is a gift and it works really well - I do have one just like this and have had it for many years and it works really well temperature is accurate - only one thing you do not need a thermometer every day so sometimes when you need it the most the batteries are down other than that works great

Don't waste your money. I read the reviews before buying and it seemed like a good product but it's garbage. It's inconsistent at best. It never gives the same temp reading. Literal example, checked ear, 99.3 and without moving the thermometer checked again and it said 96.1. This thermometer does this whether you use the ear or forehead. I was done with it when it gave me a 100 reading and then a 91 right after. That inconsistency is dangerous

This is a very useful product and makes taking your child's temperature less of a struggle. To use the ear function, you have to twist the top off and it can be a bit difficult. A quick swipe across the head or a few seconds in the ear to grab a temperature is much easier than fighting your child until you hear the beeping from a regular thermometer. It is definitely a lot of money, however, it seems built to last (as of this review I have only tested it for 3 weeks) and will be worth the money in the long run. It is much easier to clean and sanitize since it does not have to sit in your child's mouth. It is easy to use and the batteries are easy to replace. I think everyone should have a thermometer like this in their house to be able to get a temperature quick so tracking multiple temps throughout the day is not a hassle at all. Again, just to reiterate, I did not see instructions for removing the head piece to use the ear function, but it is simply twisting the top off like a cap and it is very tight so, you may need to really put some muscle into it. For a kid moving and thrashing about, it may be hard to get a solid swipe on their forehead so, to have the ear functionality of this thermometer, it gives you that 2-3 second option. Make sure you hold the button until it beeps in the ear for an accurate read. Thank you.
