Very good for recliner
If I could give this 4.5 stars, I would.Okay, nitty gritty. I have Magichold 3 in 1 360º Rotating Height Adjustable Laptop Floor/bedside Stand with cooling fan as well, and it wasn't cutting it for my situation, which is in a very good lift chair that reclines to Trendelenberg. Now, I don't usually need to recline that far, but I often want to recline farther than is comfortable to look at with the platform device. What I want is to be able to have the laptop above me, so that I can keep it near my iffy eyes and not strain to see it. Because I could not get the other stand close enough and it lacked the articulated arm, I was constantly straining with it.I have both rheumatoid and osteoarthritis, am still able to type well, but don't have a lot of hand strength, and I had no problem putting this together, except that the large Allen wrench was too big for the big screw on the bottom, and the medium one was too small. I have plenty of tools, so this wasn't insurmountable.I had to loosen one of the arms a little to get it down the groove on the upright bar--once it was in place I tightened the upper screw a little. This only affected one arm, so this may not affect you.The clips work to hold the laptop in place at a good angle, but they don't look "right". They're not snug, and my laptop isn't that thin, and I had to sort of monkey around to find the sweet spot where the clips weren't interfering with the fan or the usb ports already in use. But the laptop feels pretty stable.Overall, the main supports feel really solid. The laptop holder itself is cleverly designed, but feels a little flimsy. If anything is going to break on this, that's going to be the first to go.Watch the orientation of your phone clamp if you use the phone clamp, which you might decide not to. It hits my power button hard enough for my phone to ask if I want to turn it off, and I accidentally anchored it so the phone will be in landscape position. Eh. I don't really need that second arm for that.About the arms: You have a limited range of motion on only the elbow, not the shoulder (elbow the articulation joint, shoulder where it connects to the main stand) The shoulder is fixed and does not move. The arm moves through a range that means the farthest it can get forward is pretty much over the support leg. HOWEVER... because the support legs are thin enough to slide under my chair, and short enough to not be awkward (unlike the other stand), I can get the computer screen MUCH closer to my head even in full recline. So that's a win.To continue the metaphor, the "wrist" under the laptop also has a deliberately limited range of tilt, but it ends up being okay for my purposes, and far better than the other stand.I think I pictured longer, more fully articulated arms, but this does enough. It is definitely lighter, more maneuverable and better for my needs than the other stand, but I may well end up missing the attached fan. HOWEVER... I will probably end up using the second arm to rig a small USB desk fan to point at the laptop if I decide to do gaming. The airflow around the laptop is quite good. The little flat table isn't really in a useful position, but eh. I do miss the "real estate" of the larger stand for setting things on, but I can get a side table for that I suppose. The instructions are functional enough.Oh, and I have a 15.6 inch laptop, at the limit of what the stand can hold, and it seems to be doing okay so far. Also, because the arms don't fully articulate at the shoulder, it's going to be a little awkward getting up and down with this. If anything ends up being a fatal flaw, that might be it. The stand is light though, and easily moved (again, unlike the other one) so we shall see.

Sturdy Surface For Laptop
Needed a surface for my laptop with camera that was more stable than my desk, which I lean on and would often shake my laptop and camera, creating shaky video calls. Now, my problem is 100% solved by this great little table, which extends over my desk and holds my laptop perfectly still - and it gives me more desk room for my keyboard, too!

It works.
It works and it has helped with getting more into my laptop at home, but it is wobbly and makes typing a little tough. Also the 360 name is some what misleading. I would say it has about 270 degrees of rotation. But for the Price and speed in which it arrived I am satisfied. I am looking for a better one though.

Quality Product
Wife spends good part of the day on a recliner using her 15" laptop computer. As mentioned elsewhere the instructions could use a total re-write. My set had some penned in notes as an effort to improve the instructions! Never seen that before. However if you have a general do it yourself intuition the stand comes together quite efficiently. Lots of extra parts to care for different sized tablets as opposed to a laptop. If you are writing the great American novel, this might be a little frustrating as it will never be as stable as sitting at a table. But we find it quite stable and flexible. Fit and finish are quality with attention to detail. The little mouse pad that fits on the top of the bar seems useless for our application, but might be useful in bed!I was able to push the legs right under the recliner. They are flat enough to not upset the recliner stability. This is a useful product.

LOVE! Would Buy Again
I love this as a portable desk! It is a little heavier and I was trying to find one on wheels, but this is sturdy and a great option. I’m short so it also took me awhile to find one that went down as low as I needed and this does the trick! Easy to assemble. A little tricky to adjust till you get the hang of it, but I would buy this again and again!

Satisfied, Productive, Comfortable Student
As a graduate student that spends a lot of time in a recliner reading, watching lectures and researching online, this computer stand has been integral to my comfort and productivity while passing long hours every day studying. While researching this product I saw many different style products for iPads and side tables for computers, but I was drawn to this product because it was able to securely hang my laptop in the middle of my view, over my lap without having to place anything on my chair or on the sides of my recliner where I usually have to stack textbooks, coffee and reading lamps. I've now been using this product for 3 months and am still very highly satisfied! Only comment for improving the design would be to include different height "rubber computer catchers" that are even with the height of a MacBook. Currently the bottom "computer catchers" are kind of high so it makes hand placement kind of awkward when using your trackpad. That being said, every part of this stand is adjustable so each part can be always be tweaked for your personal preferences. Very satisfied with this product!

I've invented this in my mind countless times and here it is. Nicely done.
The media could not be loaded. I use the heck out of this guy. It has a few limitations but they are not the kind of thing that matters if it is fulfilling its basic function, which is to hold my laptop so I can have my lap free to do other things. It has two arms that slide up and down a single vertical pathway for them to do so. The higher arm served no purpose for me so I removed it. This thing stays tucked close to the couch and is lightweight enough to be moved on a moment's notice. The separation of the legs (about a 45º angle) makes it difficult to tuck it close to the couch but I suspect that is needed for balance. I always think about inventing a laptop holder when I'm sitting on the couch needed to change positions, but now I don't have to think about it, it's been taken care of for me. Even though I didn't use the extra arm, or the miniature Mousepad (you might use it for a cup holder) BUT having more parts is better than less so I'm giving it five stars because it performs its duty perfectly.
