Simple innocent fun
This is a great toy to get yourself or the kids away from the screen for a couple of minutes. It requires just enough effort to be engaging but is easy to do and mesmerizing to watch. It's made of plastic so if it bumps into something or goes off course it won't break or really damage anything. It spins on a variety of surfaces (wood floors, rubber matts, my kids' trampoline). If you buy two you and someone else can battle to see whose spins the longest or if they bump into each other see which one is the last one standing. It's a great, simple toy.

Not worth it
My 9-year-old son was really excited to get this, but the rope got knotted almost right away and it ended up causing more frustration than fun. It just didn’t work out for us, so we’ll be returning it.

He stole my Duncan top.
I think it was 4th Grade when Duncan tops were the rage at our elementary school. There were wooden and plastic tops of various colors and design. But Duncan tops were the desired favorite. I had a purple top that I took to school and at some point during the school day, I realized that my purple top had gone missing. Later that day I saw another classmate with a purple top, my purple top. He denied that the purple top he had was mine. I must have bought another top later... time passes. About 30 years later, at our class reunion, this former classmate pulled me aside and admitted that years ago he had stolen my purple top. *I later thought that I would trust this classmate with my money because if this little incident that happened in 4th grade had worried him enough for 40 years for him to apologize to me, then this was a person that probably would never steal anything else again. **I gave him this Duncan top at the next reunion.

Still fun
This top is just like the one I played with over 60 years ago. Bought it to show my grandkids what fun really is.
