The 2" x 65 yards size is exceptional value. What I received DOES have fibreglass mesh reinforcement. From my experience, how much you 'think' you will need to use is never really enough. This is very thin (exactly as described), hence very light and easy to 'shape'. It does not need to be thick to reflect radiant heat very effectively. Do not try and 'test' directly with a blowtorch like some idiots, this is not what its designed for. For that you need something like thick (and very expensive) graphite carbon felt blanket. Very pleased with purchase. Highly versatile product. Can save energy (and hence ever increasingly money) by conserving heat losses. Really good job of protecting against heat... but the self adhesive melts at temperature which defeats the purpose of the tape in the first place.

I bought this tape to do a temporary repair to an intercooler pipe with a small hole.I read reviews of other tapes talking about them being thin, fragile or that the backing is difficult to remove - that was not my experience of this tape.The backing was rather helpful and would recommend removing it as its applied rather than removing it beforehand as it can easily stick to itself and get ruined.It has done the job until I can get the pipe replaced.

Doesnt adhere to anything else than perfectly flat surface. I.e. doesn't join van insulation foam and reflective panels. Doesn't hold temperature change too.Wouldn't recommend

Perfect for purpose

This comes with removable film on the adhesive surface.... but the adhesive will barely stick to anything. It just about sticks to itself, so I was able to wrap it around the item I'm protecting a few times, but it's the weakest imaginable 'adhesive'. Not quite what I expected.

Works very well provided you put enough tape round the leak
