This was exactly what we were searching for. Made to be permanently installed into the dash with screws, won’t fall off like the last 3 suction cup holders we tried.Easy to set phone into it and remove it from holder. 5 stars!

So far, this has been the best phone holder I have had. It holds securely and is adjustable to allow regular use, and in my case, it can adjust so that the camera looks out the windshield if you need to document something going on in front of you. It is held by adhesive and screws. I did not even try the adhesive as I did not mind putting a few holes in my dash once I was able to play with it a bit and realized it could hold not just my current phone, but most likely any phone I get in the future. So I made it permanent to avoid having it fall off. I havent seen an adhesive hold anything in any car after a summer of 110+ heat.This is a product update 2017:This still works the best, holds the phone snugly and has not failed in any way. However, remember it is the only unit I have tried where I put screws into the dash. So it is permanent unless I lave a few holes showing.I have tried 5 other cell phone holders, mostly the type that latch onto vents. They all fail or fall apart or break.

As a mobile service technician I spend countless hours in my van driving around town, I use maps a LOT and like to have my phone up pretty much any time I'm driving.I mounted this with screws and oriented it 'sideways' so my phone would be in landscape as I prefer maps this way.After 4 months the plastic around the main pivot began to crack and about 2 weeks after it began it failed entirely. It broke on the top portion of the hinge which is where more pressure would be applied due to the mount being sideways. I really enjoyed the rigid mounting of my phone and how positive of a grab it had, but I think you're best off using this mount vertically.

Was skeptical about it’s durability. I installed it my semi and it has withstood the pounding with an I phone 10 suspended from the dash. Would definitely buy again.

I bought this to install in my RV on the dash. Works perfectly. It's stable on bumpy roads and has various ways to align it to see perfectly.

It rattles when the phone is not in it.

Exactly what I wanted and of superior quality & excellent price! I wanted a cellphone holder that was NOT stuck to my windshield or clamped to my vents. I wanted one that I could screw mount onto the dash exactly where I need it to be. This is that item. Nice deep pads and feet to hold my phone while still in its case. One hand operation to clamp and release the phone.
