Tip for the day: Buy This Book Now
This book is a MUST BUY for anybody interested in the work of David Bohm. If one has already read works such as "Wholeness and the Implicate Order," "Thought as a System," and "On Dialogue," then this book is a very nice summary of some of Bohm's most important concepts. However, it can stand alone as a very nice introduction to Bohm's work given the content of a few of the essays contained within (including the very influential "Soma-Significance"). Finally, for anybody interested in the power of dialogue, please do not hesitate to purchase this book, for it can give you a sort of flesh-and-bones feel for the magic of dialogue -- how it can move and the depths of consciousness that it can reveal!

Love it
I love David Bohm. Not one other single human in history has come close to him. This book is great. It represents him a little early in his process has he was unfolding his ideas. His other books where he's dialoguing with people are more developed. This one goes deeper into soma-significance and signa-somatic process. I was able to understand it better.I highly recommend any and all of his books starting with wholeness and the implicate order. His books will truly change your life. No other books come close.

Excellent exploration of the dialogue process...
I came to enjoy the dialogue format as I progressed and it offered a glimpse into the things Bohm has previously talked about. Many wonderful insights into human thought and the nature of the implicate order.

No conclusions reached - pointless discussion.
This is just a recount of a free-flowing open discussion that was too diffuse to come to any definitive conclusion having any useful purpose.

Here is one physicist that really "get it." While keeping his cool, he paints an incredible "metaphoric picture" of a doughnut while the hole inside the doughnut he leaves wordless but the essence is obvious. Everything is conscious and there are no "things" ... no "nouns" and no thing is dead including the enfolded potentiality of the Zero Point Field.

What goes up must come down, and the rest is a mystery
Dr. BOHM has unraveled a tremendous proposal in his model of mind, matter, and meaning.

Most important that this mans work never be forgotten.
David Bohm understood things that mankind must come to understand. He makes it plain that knowledge although valuable can never give us truth.

Fascinating
A fascinating look at cutting edge science from a philsophical viewpoint. Bohm explores what quantum physics means for our understanding of our place in the universe in a readable and accessible way. This book is much more easily digestible than his "Wholeness and the Implicate Order" though admittedly less comprehensive.Bohm illustrates clearly how the mechanistic order, so beloved of so-called scientists, is now a paradigm that is hopelessly out of date, which makes its advocates, such as Richard Dawkins, look like the church authorities at the time of Galileo - clinging to a doomed paradigm that they have so much invested in and ignoring all evidence that does not conform to their rigid preconceptions.
