Plantronics' Voyager Charging Stand gets even better (when compared against the Voyager Legend Charging Case)
I've owned/use Plantronics headsets for more years than I can remember. Does that mean I've always used Plantronics, or that I never used other brands in-between Plantronics? Of course not...but I always end up going back to Plantronics. Why? Because there's nothing better.Case in point - In 2009, whatever headset I was using at the time (I believe it was from Motorola) was doing some "weird" things, and I had narrowed my choices down to three possible replacements: Plantronics Voyager, Jawbone, & BlueAnt. All three were highly rated. Where I was working (at the time), a couple came in, and I happened to notice the husband/boyfriend wearing the Voyager. Initially approaching them so as to provide customer service, I turned the conversation to Bluetooth headsets, and, mentioning my three choices, he said, "It's interesting that you happened to mention those specific headsets, as I have the Voyager, and I had the other two. Between them, the Voyager is, by far, the best of the three. In fact, it's the best headset I've ever had." That having been said, my decision was made...and Voyager-series headsets is what I've used ever since.Prior to the Voyager 5200, I had the Voyager Legend (which now belongs to my wife, as she had no headset, and seriously needed one), which, until the 5200, had been the best headset I'd had. Now, the Voyager 5200 has taken that "top spot". I HIGHLY recommend the Voyager 5200, as well as its charging case. Turning to the charging case, I was initially figuring I could use the charging case from the Voyager Legend to charge the Voyager 5200, but, due to the "angle" near the charging contacts, they wouldn't touch the Legend case's contacts. So, I ordered the 5200 charging case...and, likewise, I was hoping that I might be able to charge the Legend inside the 5200 case...but, again, no dice. This would have been great, as the 5200 case has two ways to charge the headset. Unlike the Legend case, which can only charge the headset from within the case, the 5200 case has a second charging point, allowing you to use the case as a charging stand, with the headset propped up, making it very easy to "grab & go".Logitech as always done an outstanding job in the design, and quality, of their products. Ignoring the "problem" of not being able to charge the Legend (although, other companies doe the same type of thing, making "minor adjustments", forcing consumers to purchase new accessories)...which, in truth, really isn't a "problem"...the Plantronics Voyager 5200 Charging Case is an exceptionally well-thought-out, well designed, product. Yes, it's slightly (but, again, not by much) on the "over-priced" side...but...if you have a job like I do, where you have a good possibility of the battery running low, and need a headset charging case, I HIGHLY recommend getting one. Even if your job doesn't drain your headset's battery, you should still consider getting one. Call it "peace of mind". Besides, even for regular home-charging use, it's much better than having to plug & unplug the headset - you just stick it into the "stand" charging slot, and, when you're ready to head out for the day, just grab & go.

Must have upgrade
I love this upgrade, it keeps the headset fully charged and is great for storage. It lives on my desk holds the headset upright and is ready to go. I've had this for 4+ years and it keeps working great.

Only had it a week but really like it
My wife got this for me for my birthday to replace my old Voyager Legend that did not want to charge any more.So far I like it better. It feels lighter and more comfortable. Noise canceling is a little better. Battery life is much better, tho mine was failing. It seems to be about the same as my Legend was new.Case is much nicer than the one for the Legend. And it has an easy docking spot so you can charge it on your desk without having to fold it up and put it in the case. That's really nice! The charging case is slightly larger and has a rubberized coating that makes it a little hard to get in and out of a tight pocket. I used to keep the legend charge case in a small pocket on the leg of my cargo pants but this case will not fix in there. It was snug with the Legend case. But this one is just a little to big and with the coating I dont think I could get it back out if I got it in there . LOL.Over all I am really happy with this headset and charging case!If you have a good working Legend I don't think its worth the money to upgrade to this one. But if your legend fails this one is a bit nicer. And not much more expensive. So if you have the money stepping up to this ones is worth it to me if you have to replace your headset anyway. If your a first time buyer you will not be disappointed. This is one of the best headsets on the market!

Looks/feels like a 3rd party licensed product more than a 1st party accessory
Only had this for a few weeks but it does what it should (ie: keeps the device charged and safe while in my bag). While it does have the Poly logo on it the device feels like a 3rd party product that was licensed to be produced for Poly and feels somewhat cheap. I usually plug it in daily so I can't speak to how long it holds a charge or how many times it can charge my headset before needing to be recharged. Works well as a 'dock' for my headset when not in use. I do wish it had a bit more weight to it.All that said, I would recommend it to someone who had a Poly v5200 bluetooth headset.
