We just recently moved to Florida and hurricanes are threatening. I needed to get prepared and get prepared fast! (Luckily, no hurricanes yet! Phew). I ordered this and a couple of lanterns. I'm very pleased with my purchase. The light is bright enough, but not blindingly so. It's lightweight - super lightweight. It has a flashing red alert in case we face a real emergency. It also has an FM radio so if we lose electricity, we can tune into the radio to get help. I love how much it does! It's so tiny. When we lived in Florida in our younger days, we had a Coleman radio/light that was gigantic and heavy in comparison. This thing is smaller than some phones I've owned! LOL. It fits nicely in our hurricane kit and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to be prepared "just in case"

I got this for when we had major storms in South Carolina. The first time I used it it was great. Used it for two days during power outage to keep updated on weather and our evacuation.When I returned home I put it in the box and set it aside. Then I pulled it out the other day to check the solar charge. It was in need so I set it out to charge and nothing. It won't charge. Of course my window to return is closed. Wasted money! Don't buy it unless you plan on one use for 20.00.Net happy at all. So glad I wasn't relying on it in an emergency situation.

I have wanted to buy a radio with an integrated charger for a long time. When Electricity goes out, one of the things I need besides light is a radio. The idea of being able to keep a radio powered with a crank is very attractive and could be very useful should electricity be out due to a storm or other emergency.This unit has many features built in. It has a relatively bright 3 LED flashlight, a blinking red light with siren and an integrated radio. There are three charging options. You can use the crank, plug the unit in or use the solar cell.When I got the unit from Amazon, I was initially disappointed. The product looks cheap but it does work. I tried out the radio. The markings for the FM frequencies are not very accurate. I found the station I would want if electricity went out and made sure it was tuned in. Once dialed in, the signal was strong and the radio loud enough to understand. The sound comes from a small rear speaker. There are no headphone jacks.The light is reasonably bright with a slightly blue cast. The red blinker is easy to see but you can not have the flashlight and blinker at the same time. On the handle is a solar cell. This is a great addition as it would be handy to leave this unit charging on a window sill or outside during a camping trip.I took a two hour walk with the flashlight and radio on the light remained bright. This is clearly very useful. If I needed to, I could recharge with the crank. I am not sure how long the battery remains charged but I didn't notice the light dimming any after the first two hours.Another feature of this system is that you can use it to charge up a phone. During an emergency, this might prove to be the most important feature. The system could be charging during the day while feeding some of its battery charge to a phone. Cranking would be my last choice for charging the unit but in an emergency, it would be quite welcome.After trying this out, I am considering buying three more so that everyone in the family can have one. This will come in very handy for camping.

It is everything that I expected and more. When the clouds and rain subside, I look forward to try the solar charger. I will definitely use it. Thanks for creating such a useful and affordable product. I will recommend it to my friends and family!

This handy flashlight, for the price, seems to be all that one would need in an emergency situation when light and communication is what's needed. I gave it four stars because there is no indicator to show what the level of the charge is. The instructions also leave out how long it must be plugged in to the charger before it's fully charged. The crank charger seems sturdy enough to be able to last through a prolonged emergency. With it also having a solar charger will take some demand off the crank charger. The light is weak but sufficient compared to darkness. I got a clear station on the radio. The siren is startlingly loud. All-in-all it is a good item. It does what it is supposed to do.

Bought this for a rainy day. Never used it except to test it. When the hurricane came and I had no power I went to pull it out only to find out that the battery had failed and it wouldn't take a charge. Thanks a lot China. Don't buy this the battery is not serviceable by the consumer. Another words you can't change the battery so when the cheap battery inside fails you have nothing.

I was and still am pleased with this product. I like how it doesn't require any batteries and is both solar powered and hand crank. Some products are either just solar powered or only hand crank. Sometimes, one can't always expect the sun to be out and about, so it's useful that this never dead flashlight radio can be charged by hand. Overall, the package arrived on time and I loved using it right away. Music from the radio sounds clear. The flashlight itself was brighter than what I expected it to be. I was also expecting to get only one channel on the radio working, but fortunately that wasn't the case. And for Christmas, I might just buy another one!

Haven't used it much. Bought it for emergency and haven't had one so far. Which is good. But to let others know what I think which is also good here is my review. I checked all the functions and everything works. It arrived very quickly and fully charged. The alarm is super noisy, great! The radio works and signal is pretty good. Light is bright. It is very small and light, great for the backpack. Tons of functions for such a small thing. Price good. Recommend.
