Gilbow G056 Curved Jewellers Snip 7-inch

Definitely not like they used to be, not enough curve for the job I intended them for I have a pair of the original G056 and i guess I’ll continue to use them. The new purchase ones won’t be used

These are just another disappointing and depressing bit of evidence of the decline in quality of 'so called' British tool manufacture.The general finish is as rough as a goats knee. There is absolutely no attempt made to refine or finely finish the rough grinding to shape of the blades. The curved blades are simply bent at one point so that an actual curved cut is impossible and the blades don't meet evenly at all. I really don't understand how a once reputable company has allowed standards to fall so low as to make a tool like this a waste of steel. The sooner manufacturers who insist on wasting resources on making and selling rubbish like this go out of business the better off we'll all be.
