I needed to replace the entire lower portion of two feeders. Some of the reviews were so negative that I ordered two different brands. This one arrived first. Today is 11/19/24.I opened it, put a brand new battery in it, programmed it for late morning and early evening, tested it, and PERFECT…As of right now i am thrilled.Good price.Easy to operate (so easy that I didn’t open the instructions).IF it stops working and it’s not my fault - I will edit an update. Otherwise I’m happy

This feeder kit is supposed to be compatible with the Varmint Zapper. It will hook in easily, but it will not work. No electrical shock. I tried to contact customer service for troubleshooting and got no response. This is the second time I purchased these items because the first set didn't work either.

This item is designed badly.Number one it is spins and throws out feed but you should not be able to spin it manually. It should be locked but guess what raccoon can comes and spin it all night long and in the morning you will find it empty. Another important thing is that you can use the zapper but the zapper use the battery the battery is a teeny tiny battery which can be discharged very quickly.You can get a solar panel which has a plug that you can put in to the unit it is so hard to put it in the unit Because of the whole if you make this whole bigger than it doesn’t stick because it’s very loose.It seems like a 10 year old will design this better.

Good timer overall…COMPLICATED programming if you don’t use the “quick” settings.The cover tends to hold water. I drill 4 small holes in the base for drainage. Small holes so water will drip out but too small for bugs to get in.
