Grannie and grandson love this book. It encourages the use of the eyes to compare the picture with the real thing: to look for other species: and to learn names.

Lots to read. Lots of information. Very educational. The pictures are nice. Little golden books never have fantatsic illustrations. But good enough for the price. A great book to read for Earth day or any other day of the year.
