Top quality
"Top quality"A little over 30 years ago my wife and I made a conversation area behind our home which was our place to talk and share news, both good and bad. The area was marked with an 8" x 12" plaque which read: Here the secrets of the heart disclose, be they heavy with sadness or bright as the rose. When we moved, we brought the plaque with us, and put it behind our new house. Since then, my wife passed away, and I've now made it into a little memorial and memory spot for me and my daughters.I wanted to put a small flag at the site. I started with the sort of flags on a stick you can easily buy at the store. But they quickly showed the dirt and looked terrible, and were certainly not the sort of flag that this American wanted to fly!I then bought the Valley Forge 12 inch sewn cotton U.S. Garden Flag and I love everything about it!To put it in the ground, I first tapped (hammered) in a 12" long piece of ¼" copper tubing, and set inside it a Hillman Model 848639 48" reflective rod purchased at Lowes, the sort of reflective rod generally used as a driveway marker. The flag's hem slides easily over the rod; however you will have to sew a seam at the top to prevent it from slipping down. (In case you wonder why I didn't just use a wood rod - I did, but it soon got broken by a deer who thought it might be a nice snack!)The combination of this good quality flag, and the rod keeping the flag high enough from the ground that it stays clear of mud and snow, means that it stays looking nice, and worthy of my wife's memory.

Very nice garden flag!
This is a very nice garden flag! It looks like some time and care went into making this. I love the stitches, seams and embroidery which gives the flag that authentic American appeal that I hoped for. I have a small collection of garden flags that I have carefully chosen for personal expression and I am proud to say this is one of my favorites. Like the rest of my flags I will treat it well by washing and storing it while not in use. I will update this review if anything changes my opinion, but the quality seems quite good and even in this windy city I expect this flag will do quite well. The tag does say made in the U.S.A.. It also says it's 100% cotton which surprised me in a good way. It's not flimsy or crumpled the way many cotton products are and I prefer cotton to synthetic materials when possible. I recommend this garden flag!

If you love America enough to display the flag, let it be a MADE IN USA flag!
I really do not like any item that contains an American flag emblem, including apparel (shirts, hats, etc.), down to any iteration of the flag itself (whether a garden flag sized, or otherwise) that is made in a foreign land.I received 2 garden flag stands from my inlaws for Christmas, and immediately went searching for 2 MADE IN USA flags to display on them. Valley Forge is a known brand to me, and I was really happy to see them offer both a U.S. flag and POW/MIA flag that are Made in USA.They look fantastic on each side of my mailbox, and the quality is great.Buy American made! The price is still very reasonable, and if you're like me, you feel immensely proud to display flags that are made right here.

Made in the USA....great purchase
I've only had it for only a month or so but it is holding up well in the garden/memorial/flower-bed area I have built in my front yard, which is a relatively windy area. Flag is exactly as stated on Amazon, (cotton flag, sewn stripes, embroidered stars. etc.)I am a proud US Army Veteran of 9 years, (Staff Sergeant,) and would offer one small piece of advice to anyone thinking of purchasing a US Flag....purchase one that is 'Made in the USA'...a flag made in the USA will surely be made by someone who takes pride in their work and stands by their product.

So Far, So Good
I am quite pleased with the quality of this flag. It seems to have outdoor durability. The quality stitching and heavy cotton fabric appears to be holding up nicely thus far in weather ranging from freezing temperatures, high winds, as well as much warmer days. I've only displayed the flag for approximately one month, so we'll see how it holds up over the long haul. The colors are bright and vivid. Too soon to tell how long this new like condition will hold up. I'm very encouraged about the prospects that this flag will hold up providing great value.

Great little flag that's built like a big flag. UPDATE
Further update. This flag no longer has sewn stripes and embroidered stars. It is printed on polyester. Which will probably last longer without fading, but it just doesn't have the same class.Faded almost beyond use in 6 months. I will have to replace it soon. I wish it were nylon rather than cotton. I've had flags of that material that did not fade. And it's really an inconvenience to have a flag give out soon, because you've got to dispose of it properly.********I didn't know until I found this flag that you could get a garden flag with sewn stripes and embroidered stars. I really love this little thing. Seems well made and very classy. Please remember to light it if you're going to leave it outside at night.

It seems to be made of good quality material
I purchased this because it is made in USA. It seems to be made of good quality material. My only complaint is they should have covered the area that wraps around the pole with white material. When it is displayed it looks a little weird with the red, white, and blue wrapped around the pole. Maybe it's just me but I will be modify mine with the white cover.

Great flags for showing your patriotism in your yard!
These are the third set of these outdoor American flags I have purchased over the last four to five years. They hold up well in extreme weather. The only issue I have with them is they will last one year, possibly two, but they are done after that. I have washed them by hand, but the mold and mildew they build up does not come off. I have washed them in the washing machine, but they bleed if you do that. I have soaked them in OxyClean, but that barely helped. I will keep using them because they look great, but realize they are going to get mold and mildew on them if they are ever in the rain, and you will need to replace them in time.
