Great wee radio with plenty functions
Excellent 👍Update## radio working perfect and picking up a lot of decent channels, have found the alarm which I can set with beeping or radio is very handy as it's good to wake up with the radio, also the temperature guage is also a very handy extra.Had a power cut recently and came in handy.Condition is still like new and very sturdy, very happy with this radio, also get a great reception with telescopic aerial but the extra long thin aerial that plugs in is boosting the range for picking up extra channels with clarity, I just put the wire out the window if needed. Fantastic

Great Entry level Scanner for Airband Enthusiasts
First of all I was surprised how compact the radio was even though the dimensions are clearly stated, The box that it comes in has a very strange pic of a living room with very formal furniture for reasons I can’t work out, However what a great radio this is, used it at LBA and the reception is very clear from the tower and aircraft, unit has squelch in 5 steps which is a must to cancel out static on air band, battery is a rechargeable phone battery but does last a long time, comes with extra long wire ariel and charging lead, Airband aside the unit would be very handy for hikers and campers due to its flexibility in reception ability. If you plug headphones in the quality of the sound is very respectable that said the little speaker does well considering how tiny it is.

Very Good Portable radio with Decent Shortwave
This review is written after using the product for nearly a month.NOTE on Standby Current Usage:I have seen a lot of reviews saying this radio does leaks power during standby, and as such needs frequent charging, even when not in use. I have not personally observed this at all my radio, any standby current use appears to be negligable (more later).Review:I purchased this as I was looking for a small portable radio for the following in order of importance:- as a small radio to use when working outdoors, and in the bathroom (not in steam) to listen to mainly FM- pick up Air Band (I am a plane buff, and often do Virtual ATC for sims)- Pick up SW for emergency and listen to foreign broadcasts.- For travelling. (see note below)NOTE: As of this review, I have not been able to test this away from home (with its dense RF emmitting devices such as WiFi Cordless phones, and mobiles, including my neighbours). as such its perfromance may change in a more open area. I will update this review when I get my chance. On FM mode it is very good. it picks up and locks onto many more stations than the FM radio on older stereo, and is pretty high quality with virtually no interference on most stations (it has interference issues when very close - less than a metre - to my WiFi router, but thats expected). The output from the speaker whilst not going to be equivelent to a HiFi, is surprisingly good, and loud for its size. Very satisfactory and on its own worth it.On Air Band mode, I do not have anythign to compare to, as this is my first and only device, but I have been able to pick up nearby Heathrow, and other frequencies in London just with the built in arial. It does require some consideration with regards to positioning than FM (Air Band actually uses Amplitude Modulation, but at higher than FM frequencies), including beaing as far as possible for nearby RF devices (WiFi, phones etc). Using an external arial (even the inlcuded one) gives a significantly better reception, and can better shield from RF interference. Nevertheless it is clear and very much useable.SW usage. Due to the nature of Short Wave, this is really going to vary based on your location, surrounding RF interference, Arial, Tiem of day, and even weather. Also I do not have any other SW radios with me to compare this to, though I have experience of using one in the past. Although using the external arial is very much reccomended, I was still able to pick up many stations with the internal arial.I have been able to pick up stations from Europe, and on occasion even further during good conditions. Reception is pretty understandable, and I am going to say that it is definately a good SW reciver, and most of my interference issues probably come from my own routers, etc. For the purpose I originally bought this for, to use in an emergancy power out situation, I think it will probably be significantly better without that external interference due to any power cut.MW/LW. I have found MW to be only adequate, with LW picking up only one or two stations with a lot of interference. Note this may not be a fault with the device itself, as both these bands are extremely sensitive to RF interference. The perfromance may be better outdoors and away from the usual household RF devices. The biggest issue is the fact there is no connection to an external arial for MW/LW use, just the internal coil arial, so unable to boost it either. I suspect the reception is likely to be better away from home, and other RF devices. This is not a very important consideration for me, as the majority of MW/LW I would want to listen to are already streaming, and i suspect my only pressing need to use this device for MW/LW is when i am away from home or during power out scenarios, where I suspect RF interference would also be reduced anyway.BATTERY LIFE:Included is a very easily replaceable BL-5C 1020mAh 3.7V Li-Ion(poly?) battery, which some may originally recognise as a battery type designed by Nokia for their phones back in the day. These batteries are readily available new by various manufacturers, as they have found their way into many different types of device beyond their original Nokia Phone usage. I usually get about 10+ hours of FM usage total including long periods of standby, which sounds just right assuming a power consumption of around 100mA in use (USB speakers can and do use more). I do not observe any noticeable power drain during standby.Charging is via a 5V Micro USB connector. When using a 2.1Amp source, the device draws about 420mA (tested via a USB load device) when on standby, and approximately 520mA switched on. It does not draw the full 2.1A available. This gives around 1 hour to charge fully from flat. As mentioned, you can use the radio during charging, note many AC adapters do not create a 100% ripple free current (due to the switching nature) and there can be some interference picked up effecting reception (varies depending on the Power Adapter). Using an external battery power bank is usually better, though some cheap ones (and ones with Wireless charging) can introduce some interference, and the PwoerBank does need to be kept a little away form the radio as there is some RF emmitted due to internal cuirctry. My powerbank is perfectly fine as long as it is physically kept about 10 cm away from the radio, and definately allows the radio to be used for much longer than with just the internal battery. All in all its a decent device. My only issue is its inability to connect to an external arial for MW/LW to aid what seems like poor reception in my home (will test and update this review later if this is just an issue with my home , or if reception of MW/LW is poor even outside). The manual has some mistakes, and does let down the device a bit (such one part titled "using the snooze fucntion" yet containing instructions for the Squelch function), however, there are plenty of guides on the Web, and youtube. After getting it, I do now wish I gotten one with SBC too, but those are significantly more pricy, and to be fair as a FM/SW/AirBand reciever this does very well.Definately recomended for FM/SW/Air Band. I am giving 4 stars, the main negatives being the slightly confusing manual, and lack of external AM. May update the score if MW/LW is also poor outdoors.

Great For Airband!
This is a super little radio and as the title suggests, I only use it for airband. I actually have a much more professional airband radio but it is so technical and complicated to set up, I gave up trying to use it! It is easy to tune in and store stations and the sound quailty is excellent. Runs on a rechargeable lithium battery in situ which lasts many hours in between charges. This is a nice bit of kit, is a nice small size and takes up little room on my suitcase. Very good value so go buy one!

Battery not holding a charge on delivery
Nice little radio and picked up the local air band broadcasts pretty well, but I could only use it on cable because despite charging overnight the unit would not turn on using battery power. So either the battery isn't holding a charge or the circuitry is faulty. Returned for refund and sourced a different unit elsewhere.

Great little radio!
For the price this is fantastic! Brilliant sound for the size & excellent reception (apart from long wave - but that's the same for all these DSP radios). Battery life is fine & easy to recharge with any standard 5v USB charger. Performs just as well as dearer models - if you don't need ssb buy this - you won't regret it!

Sihuadon R108 radio
Excellent value for money. Compact, well constructed. Have not had time to use it extensively. Just switched it on to set the clock and to try it out straight from the box. Have not had time to use it with external aerials etc. since fully charging its battery. Based on first sight am well satisfied.
