General Remote Control for BN59-01006A

Works if you hand is light in color. It does not see a dark color. I bought a black make up brush cleaning mitt and this to wash my paint brushes with. I loved it so much at first that I ordered another one - which is not here - but will be returning it. When I put the black mitt under the dispenser, it would not work, so I tried just my hand - worked. So I tried a paint brush that was dark in color - did not work - a paint brush that is light in color - works. So, curious, I tried other items light and dark. Light color work, dark colors do not. I wonder how this will work with darker skin.

Received this today, and it doesn't work. I made sure that I had new batteries in the soap dispenser, but nothing happened. UPDATE: I received a refund today, Aug. 1st, and I will compliment the company for being very courteous. I think that maybe mine may have been damaged in the mail. I remember once I sent my sister a painting between two pillows, and it was broken when she received it. So...I appreciate how courteous this company was.

This soap dispenser has changed my life. Seems stupid that a soap dispenser would have that much impact, but I guess it's been a boring year for me. In all seriousness though, this thing works well for me and I haven't had some of the problems that other reviewers have mentioned. I've had it a few months now and have had to replace the batteries once. I use it with Dr. Bronner's soap which congeals in the hole where the soap comes out, but that's the soap's fault. Great soap dispenser!

Reading the reviews on this product, I was leery because so many great reviews happened coincidentally (?) with the product given free in exchange for the review. After using the two I ordered (without that incentive) I can say that I am very happy with them. I ordered them to replace the two SimpleHuman dispensers that failed after 14 months, so I hope these will last. They do work on rechargeable batteries, which seemed to be a problem with the SimpleHuman dispensers. They do not have the range of how much soap is dispensed that SimpleHuman had, but are much quieter in operation, and are much easier to put the batteries in. These are winners IF they last.

So glad I ordered this automatic dispenser. I put the 4 AAA batteries in, filled the reservoir with Dawn diswashimg liquid and flipped the switch from off to l (of ll). It took aboiut 15 tries before the liquid soap to work its way through the tube before dispensing soap onto the sponge, but it has worked great. Filling the generous 15 oz reservoir was very easy. I highly recommend this product and would buy again for my bath, as a gift, etc.

Actually I had previously given this product a less than desirable review which I now have to rescind because I reordered after realizing that shipping issues may have occurred although the seller did an outstanding job of packaging.Just received my new unit today, and I am very pleased with product performance - the unit has a informative LED indicator and two levels of dispensing to choose from.

Just received the dispenser. When I tried Energizer batteries it didn't work. Following a previous reviewer's comment I then tried Eveready batteries and it DID work!! I compared the voltages- the Energizers totaled 6.380 volts; the Evereadys 6.338 .Apparently the sensor is very sensitive to over voltage therefore the so so rating..I did like the ablity to see how much soap remained in the dispenser

This pump works well. It took about 20 tries to get the pump primed but once it got going it's been perfectly reliable. I like the clear canister so you can see when you're almost empty. I wish the "low" setting dispensed about half as much soap. It seems like it's about a teaspoon, and the "high" setting is even more than that.
