Bought as gift for daughter. She loved it. Only considered pearls not dyed and with no added polish so it would be as natural as possible. Pearl color is even, a bit of lustre, tiny imperfections consistent with a AAA grade pearl. This is a large pearl and at this size the price is good. A pearl can be damaged if metal rubs against it. This pearl pendant came secured in a small plastic zippy covering the pearl and a different zippy covering the chain. The pendant was then carefully placed in the gift box. Very clever. Would definitely recommend.

I was looking for a pearl necklace for my wife’s Valentine’s Day gift. Found them on the Pearl Source store and other stores on Amazon. I bought the necklace from other store because their price is lower than Pearl Source’ price. Big mistake. I received a low quality and blemish pearl from other store without a certification of authentic. I returned it and bought the necklace from Pearl Source. The pearl necklace is very beautiful and worth the price. It comes with a “Genuine Cultured Pearl Guarantee” document. I use a 10x LumiLoupe magnifier to examine the pearl and did not find any noticeable blemish. My wife is very happy with the gift.

I've been looking for pearl jewelry with a modern look, and have always found genuine black Tahitian pearls to be so pretty with their iridescent blue, green, gray, and purple flashes. When this necklace went on sale, I decided to give it a shot. I was quite nervous, but when it arrived, was quite happy with what I got. I have a very petite frame and the pearl was perfectly "not too big, not too small." The coloring is beautiful, with a nice luster to it, though it is more of a graphite and not super colorful -- still, definitely not the flat black of cheaper dyed pearls. The chain is a box chain, not the super-cheap type that often gets included with pendants, with a spring ring closure and has a great shine to it (rhodium). On the downside, the pearl does have a few small dimples in it; you'd have to look very closely to see them, but they are there, and not just on one side. But then again, I suppose it shows the pearl is real. The 18k bail is incredibly thin, like tissue paper, and I would genuinely worry about it breaking if it was pulled on in any way. It is stamped 18k on one side so you can only wear the pendant with the other side facing forward (which is kind of a bummer because one of the divots is exactly in the center of the front surface of the pearl). Lastly, the packaging confused me. The necklace came in quite a nice box, but inside the box the necklace wasn't hanging nicely: the chain was all jumbled up in a small plastic bag, the pendant in its own little plastic bag, and then a small velvet pouch was also included . Luckily the chain didn't have any kinks or knots.Overall, for the price, I'm not planning to return it. If I had paid a bit more, I might consider it. But I'm happy with it, feel like the price is fair, and plan to wear it regularly.

Very happy with quality of necklace and reasonable price. The pendant is gold and the chain is silver with gold on top. True to size of Pearl that I wanted. Minor dents in pearl but I was expecting that. Would buy again.

Bought for my daughter’s 15th bday. It’s a nice delicate piece with a nontraditional elegance, but not fragile or cheaply constructed. Would have liked a more vivid pearl but all and all very satisfied with my purchase.

The pearl is fine. Not the highest quality, but decent for the price. The silver chain, however, was only 15 inches (we measured) despite being listed as 18 inches. It's also very thin. You might think, eh, what's 3 inches? Well, it's the difference between having a gift that can be worn and a gift that's just plain disappointing. And, of course, it's not what was paid for.Contacted the seller but we've received no reply. I'll update if this changes and they make good. Until then, I say buyer beware.
