Moen 4000 Single Handle Replacement Cartridge

OK, apparently this cartridge is not as popular as the 1255, as it was nowhere to be found at big- or small-box HW stores in San Diego. Nonetheless, Amazon came through in less than a day. The Moen product comes with an instruction sheet in the box, which has the necessary tricks to get the thing changed out. A 3/32” Allen wrench, small, is crucial to get the handle set screw loose. Also, the little red o-ring (Mickey Mouse shape) may remain in the faucet body, so a small seal pick, such as the OTC Tools 7312 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000P70QPW is a handy way to extract the seal, if needed. The whole thing is a really quick fix with the 4000 cartridge. And no drips now. Yay!

Amazing product

i was afraid it was a dud.. i was still seeing a drip but then weeks later i realized it had in fact stopped! before i installed it , i looked to see how it worked and noticed how the cartridge open and closes with direction. Apparently with my faucet, if the head and the handle are aligned straight with eachother it keeps a gap in the cartridge and creates a drip ,but as soon as i turn them slightly off ( handle tiny more to left while head of faucet more to right.. full stop . -that being said befor the replacement my faucet was dripping every which way , so i know cartiridge and the rubber bits around the base needed to be replaced. therefore i give it a thumbs up!

My faucet started to leak right at the handle. It was slow over time but recently you could tell it was ready to call it quits. It's super easy to access with some allen wrenches, pops right in and you are back in business.

I like to leave reviews but some things, honestly it is hard to figure out what to say. This cartridge fit in my faucet easily, quickly and seemed to be a great replacement for what was in there. That is what I needed and what I got, so all needs satisfied. What I will add is that I ordered this very late in the day, I believe late Tuesday night, and yet it still arrived 2 days later on Thursday. I was expecting it to arrive on Friday. So, I thought that was a nice and unexpected bonus.

Perfect fit!

Getting to be a hard to find part. None of the big box home supply stores stock them anymore. The cartridge worked perfectly. Probably should have ordered two.

This was a perfect fit to replace a Kerox K35A valve cartridge. Went in a Kraus faucet. This cartridge is also made by Kerox.

No me sirvio busco el de 40 mm, podrian especifiar las medidas o poner un diagrama, mal especificado Moen no tiene un catalogo en linea para saber el numero del cartucho En todos los sitios chinos esta mas claro los cartuchos y las medidas

Facile d’installation

It's now been 3.5 months since I put in this cartridge to replace the one that seized up in my kitchen. It's still working perfectly, movement is as smooth as the day I put it in, and of course there are no leaks. Comparable cartridges in brick-and-mortar stores in Toronto area are more than 50% more expensive, so this seems like a real winner.
