Good kit, room to add additional items
Got this because it has more than just an assortment of bandages. The kit tries to be both a first aid and a survival kit. By "survival" I refer to the included emergency blanket, poncho, compass, glow stick and whistle. I'm an urban/suburban/highway/beach kind of guy, I don't go back-packing or camping so I'm not sure I need the survival items as much as an enhanced first aid kit. I added a 1.75 oz QuickClot clotting sponge, a larger spool of adhesive tape to hold the clotting sponge in place, WaterJel burnjel, the MediPoint splinter-out, all from Amazon, and picked up some Advanced Blood Stop (hemostatic gauze) from CVS (sort of a small version of the QuickClot). I only had to remove the glow stick and compass to fit all these extras in the kit, which is quite roomy. I am not throwing away the glow stick or compass but am keeping them separately with my waterproof matches. All in all, a good kit with room for you to customize as you see fit.

An excellent starting point.
As some of the other reviewers have mentioned, it would be nice if all the ointments were certainly made in the USA, but doing a lot of research myself (including of the products sold directly on the American Red Cross website), it doesn't seem likely that such products can actually be obtained with any sort of ease. And given that this whole thing is meant for true emergencies only, it's not really that big of a deal. As for the kit and contents overall, this is a really good variety and amount of things. Pretty much anything you might needs is in here, and there are even things that would only be needed much more rarely. I do wish the tape and stretchy bandage were each larger, but these can always be replaced on an individual basis. I even removed a few items that I know I either won't need or can't bring as carry-on in an airplane. The only things I felt the need to add was a couple extra pairs of gloves, some 81mg aspirin, and other drugs such as Tylenol, Advil and Benadryl that I always carry in my purse everyday anyways.

Keep the first aid kit, toss the seat belt cutter.
Keep the first aid kit, toss the seat belt cutter. I tested the seat belt cutter on straps for a car seat we plan to recycle. I could not cut the straps (whereas I easily cut the straps with a different seat belt cutter). The hammer part was not terribly sharp or pointy, either, although I did not test that part. Based upon how poorly it performed with the car seat straps, I threw it in the garbage.Like I said, though, keep the first aid kit. It's fine and in my car.

Not just first aid- almost a survival kit!
I was looking for something small that could fit in the trunk of my car without taking up too much space and this was perfect. I'm currently a nursing student and thought it would be a good idea if I "practiced what I preached" when it comes to being prepared for emergency situations. I figured I couldn't help anyone else if I wasn't prepared in my own life. As far as I'm concerned, this kit has basically everything you need for not just for cuts and gashes but has things to keep you warm, an instant ice pack, a compass, a whistle and so much more that I was surprised to find could actually fit in this small little bag. The bag itself was smaller than I thought it would be but it is just the perfect size that it could fit in a small glove box. Obviously, this is not a "survival kit" but it comes close! The price was great as well. They also delivered extremely fast so no I have no complaints. Thank you very much.

Great camping first aid kit
I bought this first aid kit for a camping trip. For a small bag it holds a lot of your essential first aid needs. It doesn't take up a lot of space yet you're not missing out on band aids or a emergency blanket or even an ice pack. I do not have any complaints about this first aid kit. If it were slightly bigger, it might fit a flashlight or glow stick which could be useful. Also, no aspirins/Tylenol which would be helpful unless I missed it. Given that it's a first aid kit, and this is really a complaint about most first aid kits, none are specific for children's first aid needs. For instance, what about children's ibuprofen. All of the items are meant for adults as far as I can tell. But that's not just about this kit but most kits in general. It is not very expensive and it is totally worth it.

Small but superbly stocked!
This kit is awesome!! I love that it has a CPR mask. We carry it on cruises and it fits into the excursion backpack easily enough and adds a little weight but could quickly become a lifesaver! It is beautifully designed and has everything easily identifiable should it be needed. I had been quite happy with our old kit but one day happened to check expiration dates.. boy was I in for a shock! Everything was expired so we researched and ordered this kit and it is perfect! Stocked with everything we might need but not overloaded with unnecessary items like some of the kits seem to be. This is small but not very heavy and is perfect for everything from excursion bags to vehicles and around the house. We need to order a couple more for easy accessibility no matter where we are.

Way better than I expected for the size and price.
I was expecting to be underwhelmed by this first aid kit. Most pre-packaged kits like this are put together by people who make no effort to think about what might be needed, they just throw some bandaids and gauze and tape in there and call it done. But this kit is really well done, and shows a lot of thought was put into it. Beyond just standard first your standard first aid stuff mentioned above, it has triangle bandages for slings, foil blankets, and other things for general emergency use when you get lost or stuck somewhere. There's a compass and a whistle, needle and thread, tweezers, razor blade, wipes, and more stuff I'm forgetting. Anyway, I was quite impressed, and now have one of these in each of our cars.
