I Started making collagen jello cubes for my husband and I. It’s more enjoyable to eat it this way then trying to dissolve collagen in water. This was a better option than opening so many little jello packets! The strawberry tastes good and as expected! Will buy again. Thank you.

I purchased this product to compare it with Jell-O. I used the Strawberry flavor for both, made the same amount for both and made both to package directions.The Wincrest Bulk Foods Strawberry Gelatin melted quicker than the Jell-O brand Strawberry gelatin when mixed with boiling water. The gelatin set harder than the Jell-O as well. This probably means that there is more gelatin in the Wincrest mix. As for color, the Wincrest was a darker red, which, to me signifies that it has more Food Color Red #40 than Jell-O.The Wincrest gelatin had less intense favor compared to Jell-O. In this area Jell-O was the superior gelatin. Also Wincrest seems to have less sugar content, 17% according to the package versus Jell-O's 19%, though in honesty, I'm not sure if the less sugar diminishes the flavor.However Wincrest has bioengineered ingredients in its gelatin which, to me, is surprising because gelatin has or is supposed to have, so few ingredients.As to setting, it's just as relatively quick as Jell-O if you use the boiling water, then ice trick. (You dissolve the gelatin in boiling water then add an equal amount of ice cube filled measuring cup-no liquid cold water and mix till the ice dissolves.)Would I recommend the Wincrest over the Jell-O? Not if flavor is what I look for. But the Wincrest does have something I wish Jell-O had. You buy the gelatin in bulk packaging which reduces the amount of garbage. On the other hand, Jell-O's packaging is cardboard and Wincrest 's is plastic.I leave it to you, dear reader, to decide which alternative is for you.

So you do need to make sure you use the right amount to make sure it doesn't come out a gummie instead of jello. I ordered a few flavors to make jello shots for a convention coming up and the first round of tests get an A+!

I used this Jello to make jam and to use for gelatin . the flavor and gelling are the same as Jello brand. The price a d convenience is much better. Thank you
