A Beautiful Evening
First, let me state that I would consider myself a "casual" Sedaka fan at best. I did not grow up listening his music, but know a few of his 'hits'. Having said that, I am a huge fan of music in general.OK, now for the review; This is a wonderful "night in/stay-at-home" experience. Turn down the lights, get comfy and turn up the sound. Neil is very caring and warm and, of course, a consummate performer. His wit an charm as well as his stories are sure to entertain you. And the music... ah, the music.A class act.

Like a fine wine.......
Can this artist ever give a less than extraordinary performance? I was unaware of this recording and found it by accident...snf it's a treasure. Sedaka's sincerity as a performer is always evident and obvious. In this collection his ability to perform as a man without gimickry [a man and his piano] is hard to find in music today. As the years go by his voice just seems to get a little bit more warm, soft and mellow... like a fine wine. Neil.....don't ever go away. Don't ever tire of performing. You are a treasure!

Neil Sedaka a life time of rock-n-roll
If you want to feel young agaig watch and listen to the songs you grew up with. This long playing dvd covers Neil fifty four years of writting and singing songs and he even comes up with some secrets for us. His interacting with the audiance makes him truely great performer. You will definitely feel younger listening to memory lane of rock-n-roll songs as rock-n-roll has never died and the beat will have you going in some way.Jeff C.

Neil just goes on and on
Neil Sedaka, in my mind, is an understated performer in that he is not overly showy or loud...he is an extremely talented songwriter and his music will live on and on. This is a very enjoyable DVD and one that you will watch over and over.

Enjoyable!
A bit too rehearsed, but well photographed with good sound quality, and a great interview given as a bonus.

I purchased this DVD. It is a real nice DVD. It features Neil Sedaka playing and singing solo without a band.

BRILLIANT AND SUBLIME
This DVD " THE SHOW GOES ON " is a superlative concert...Mr..Sedaka is by himself playing the piano but having been educated at Juilliard his playing, compositions, and lyrics are second to none...along with his favourites, he plays a absolutely beautiful Mozart piece which really shows his virtuosity as a concert pianist as well....although the DVD I received was defective and handled very well by the sales people I'm giving this DVD 5 stars just for the sheer brilliance of it...We boomers would be absolutely delighted with the wonderful songs we grew up with in our teens...they are played just as we heard them then!!!

This live DVD is great. His voice is the same. I just love listening to this show. He still has the rythm, the smile, the love of singing. No dull moment. It's a must.
