I loved this book! The first half was pretty much predictable. But the second half left me broken, only because it was closer to reality I guess. Love can come into your lives in different forms. This book depicted one of the ways.❤️💕🦋

I watched the movie and so wishes to read the book. It's really beautiful book. Explains emotivity and biochemical reactions in the brain set off in a relationship. Very useful for me as a priest to guide people in broken relationships.

(First Reviewed for For The Love of Fictional Worlds)Our Chemical Hearts has been lying on my bookshelf for at least a year; if not more, so when I started this plan to tackle my TBR – this book went on this list; mostly because the blurb of this book is quite interesting.Henry Page is an anomaly in this teenage boy world; he doesn’t usually have crushes but he definitely believes in the power of “soul mates”; especially after experiencing a real life example of his parents.Grace Town is a newly transferred student in Henry’s school and a girl who wouldn’t have been on his radar if not for his teacher offering both of them the position of “Editor” together, a position usually held by only one student and one that Henry has coveted for a long time!The story/ the plot to be specific does veer off in the typical fashion into a love story, though a bit more angstier than expected from a YA romance; yet even with my hopes the plot ends being a whole more predictable than it could have been.It was the “moral” of the story that I ended up loving though – there is no traditional HEA for either of the MC’s but there is growth, learning, hurting and a whole lot of maturity by the end of the story than there was at start!And this; honestly would have been enough for me to adore the story, if NOT for the fact that by the middle of the book, I was struggling to connect to the story as a whole – it became a bit slow for me to fully appreciate the thought behind the book.

Story and Plot is great. It has some great poems too. A must read for young people who are experiencing first time love or going through their first breakup. It shows what love really is, unconditional and pure.

It's an amazing one-sit read.Got a little tired of reading series for a long time, so it was a refreshing read.... Love to have this one in my collection 💗

The story revolves around Henry Page and Grace Town. Henry is a good boy kind of a character who stays away from all the drama and gets appointed as an editor for the school newspaper with Grace as his co-editor. Grace is still trying to overcome the tragic incident of her past.The concept of modern love is new to Henry as he thinks love is everything shown in movies and described in books— the till eternity kind, He’s seen his parents love that way and believes in it.Only after Grace enters/ leaves his life he understands that love is not bound by the time period,it’s not necessary that it wasn’t true if it didn’t last long. After all love is a chemical reaction happening in our bodies, the only thing that makes it special is those chemical reactions doesn’t happen often, it happens only towards the special one! I really liked the way of story telling. Author has a beautiful way of giving descriptions. Also it was a male protagonist story which I don’t read often. But I loved the book! It’s a beautiful blend of love and pain.

This Book Is really amazing for teenagers and I would like to suggest that before reading this book u should watch Chemical Hearts on Amazon prime vedios .

I enjoyed the fresh take on boy meets girl boy loses girl. I will be 100% honest with you. I saw this the movie advertised on Amazon Prime and thought it looked like something I would watch; when I found out, there was a book I was all over it. Books to movies are my jam. The book is a five star for me. There is a line near the end about a mother’s love for her son that made the writer in me Jealous. Also any book that squeezes in my all-time favourite Simpon’s quote is tops in my book.

I really love this book! The writing style and story was great and I really like how the whole time seeing things through Henry’s eyes you think everything is going smoothly or at least as Grace puts it, “Henry thinks she’s becoming her old self again”. Most of the time reading this book I believed as Henry did, that he loved Grace for who she is now and not who she was before but as the book nears the end you do start to see more and more how he doesn’t and that she really is broken and needs more than just a guy to fix her! I think this story shows a great portrayal of the kind of PTSD that death can have on someone and how depression ect can’t be fixed with finding love, that you need therapy and just the same amount of medical attention as a person who suffers a physical illness. The really scientific aspect of the characters outcome of love can be viewed as bleak but at the core you see how true it is that “love doesn’t need to last a lifetime to be real. You can’t judge the quality of a love by the length of time it lasts...”. This book is something I would definitely recommend anyone to read!

I fully recommand this book if you are into romance stories. This book is perfect as a gift for teenagers but you can still enjoy it no matter your age.
