Best Compost Bin
Highly recommend this product among the various products available in the market due to the ease and convenience to use. No issues of bad ordor, if used according to the instruction provided. The leachate can be separately collected and used every two weeks.. Planning to buy one more as my first compost bin which I bought in Dec 2021 is now full.Highly recommend this product for home use.

Good product
Product is good. Very easy to use and the instructions are quiet clear. You can feel the decomposition happening in one day itself. Will be nice if they start selling a stand for the bucket as the tap is quiet low

Overpriced Bin OK for Terrace/Garden
The media could not be loaded. 30+L holed bucket that does the job. Basic but Overpriced.PROs• No holes on bucket lid. So the rain doesnt get in.• Lightweight.• Beige so easy on the eye.• Least overpriced aerobic compost bin on Amazon. Sad that this is the case though.• Comes with a plastic wrapped ~1kg compressed cocopeat brick.CONs• Expensive. This is your normal 35L polypropylene bathroom bucket with handle and lid. I dont believe adding a tap ₹10, inner tray for leachate drainage, drilling holes warrant a ₹1000 price tag.• Fragile. The normal bucket material is easily breakable and will not withstand years worth of hard handling For that it needed to be built in the material your Sintex water tanks come in. I have ordered three of these bins in the past few months and made the mistake of not returning the last one which had cracks at the holes (from drilling the 6mm holes) and a big crack near the 1.7mm tap hole: leachate drains through the crack. So if you still order this, return immediately if any cracks are seen.• Hole size. I would prefer a smaller hole size so that maggots cant escape once their lifecycle is done (yes newbies, the harmless BSF larvae are inevitable.)• Packaging. For something thats all about saving mother earth, the packaging is laughable. Cling film wrapped from top to bottom (cracks from hard handling despite that)Experience:For my family of 4 with daily cooking, the 35L bucket filled upto 90% in about 2 weeks (dont fill more than that, the O2 layer is required) with microbe addition (sprinkling of old jaggery/ sour curd/ cowdung) every few days. For 2 weeks from the last foodwaste addition (few more weeks would be best for powdery compost but my three-bin system afforded no more time), the bin was allowed to compost, with occasional leachate drainage and aerating (kitchen waste takes 2 weeks to get fully composted whereas dry leaves need five). Compost was good to use for plants after two more weeks of curing in a sack/paintbucket: the compost was harvested and sieved (unnecessary, though you may use the bigger pieces in your next batch as microbe source) after two days of slightly drying out in the shade. Now thats 6 weeks ~45 days from the start to end to get your hands on rich compost. Draining leachate from the tap involves heavy lifting, so not using the tap and instead placing the bin inside a basin proved to be a lifesaver (watch out for the rain!). There was never any bad scent, which surprised the most, only the addicting petrichor we love.Aerobic composting will always involve some numbers of bsf- a contentious issue only for beginners. They arrive around the second week when the bin starts heating up and exuding water and you will notice condensation drops on the lid. Keep the browns high enough and you may not even see them although the experienced composter will actually worry if its not seen as they hasten the composting process.Verdict:Making compost is unbelievably satisfying. My setup involves three of these, one paintbucket with cocopeat, one paintbucket with dry leaves (wasnt available with my second batch of composting, so used more cocopeat, shredded paper), hand trowel and some sour curd and jaggery to get it going in the beginning ( no store bought "activator", "remix powder", "accelerator"). Place this in your garden or your terrace, I do not advice kitchen workarea in apartments (use easy-lazy bokashi composting for that or the EVA composter) because the harmless shortlived black soldier fly larvae do get out to pupate. Cover with a sack as too much sunlight tends to make plastic brittle. Exchange immediately if cracks are found (even if you see cracks after cutting through way too much cling film). Use keeping in mind how fragile this thing is.Better yet, if you have drill you can make this contraption yourself: Take a really sturdy bucket with lid(20-35L bucket). Drill holes all around, a one inch diameter hole at the bucket base for drainage- this is much easier than when its at the side (you would have to lift to tilt to empty through tap. I dont use the tap anymore, its a pain). Place this holed bucket on top of two bricks in a basin, with a soil filled pot directly underneath the hole to collect leachate. If you make the basin circumference equal to or less than that of the bucket base, you can ensure rain doesnt fill the basin. DIY bucket will do a better job.

It’s just WOW!
It’s a request to all to start making your Black Gold! Yes that is manure: collect your garbage and make it into black gold! Instead of filling your dustbin and polluting the nation! It’s a must buy, all should start decomposing at home . The bucket was amazingly packed, not even a dent or scratch, and I was once going to make my own but got it readymade and neat to start the main work! Don’t think just buy!

Superb product
Great product worked well for me, I bought it 4 months ago now my compost is almost ready. No bad smell ,I collected slery every 10 days. I bought it after reading the reviews . Those who are looking for a compostbin can buy it without any doubt. Add compost and cocopit at times can also add buttermilk or even little yogurt to make composting fast.

Low quality plastic
Low quality plastic. Lid broke after 5 months of usage. Larvae are coming out of the bucket through the holes provided. Its too overpriced!
