The finished, installed product looks good, is sturdy, and is functional.But installation is a huge pain in the neck. The tiny set screws are just a couple of millimeters from the wall when the rack is in place, and it takes about 10 half-turns to tighten it up with a tiny Allen key that doesn’t quite fit the screw. So plan to spend several minutes in a very uncomfortable position while tightening each of the set screws.

High quality.I might be able to do some pull up with this.Haven't try it tho.

Lovely and easy to install

This towel rod was exactly what I was looking for. Clean, simple lines and very easy to install. Perfect!

I'm in the process of switching over a bathroom from polished brass (eww) to brushed brass. While I'd prefer brushed nickel, it just won't work with the shower that's already there. One of the items to address was a towel bar mounted to one of the doors, so I ordered TWO KES 23.6 Inch Brushed Brass Towel Bar (A2000S60DG-BZ) to replace the existing towel bar and to add a new one.This isn't my first experience with KES products, as I've bought a toilet paper holder, a pop=up drain, and paper towel holder from them before. The towel bars arrived in the same shipping box (despite being sold individually), and were individually packaged in clear plastic bags. Also included was a bag of hardware, an Allen key, and a small tube of glue. Glue? Hmm...Installation consists of freeing two steel, circular mounting brackets from the towel bar. To do that you just loosen two hex grub screws. While you can use the included Allen key, I recommend that you just use your own tools, instead. You're given screws that are the perfect length for mounting on a door. If you're going into a soft material you should use the included screw anchors (though they are of the cheap sleeve type). Once you have the brackets on, you just have to re-tighten the grub screws. KES has included glue as an alternative mounting method. I would probably recommend against the glue, unless you're sticking the thing to tile, stone, or glass (though that presents its own issues if you can see the other side). If you do use glue, make sure you prep your surface by roughing it up or using an adhesion promoter.As far as the towel bar goes, it's a decent item for $26. The finish is kind of muted - even for brushed brass, so it may not 100% match your other finishes. That's not really a big concern for me, though. As it is, I have a new doorknob assembly on the way, which should complete that door, and modernize the overall look of that part of the bathroom. Recommended

Nice bar, easy to install.

I don't really like that the bar was 2 pieces and you can see the seam between the 2 pieces. It's solid and works exactly as expected, just don't like this part.To be fair the seam is very clean and not overly visible just bugs me.

Sturdy, looks great, very happy with it.The only down side is the tiny little screws that hold the outer plates on with the little Allen key... But those are pretty standard, and I have big hands, and working that close to the wall with the screws hidden underneath was a little tricky... But that's a small thing. Literally! LOL

I installed the 12 inch version of this towel rail last night and it was a breeze. I used the plug and screw fixings provided as I was attaching to painted white plasterboard and as noted from the description, the self adhesive is not suitable for painted walls. Just to note that the adhesive option comes with glue that you need to apply alongside the adhesive strip which is why that option is only suitable for non-painted/non-wallpapered surfaces.Installation is simple for those of us that enjoy DIY but the instructions provided are very clear for even the most cautious DIY'ers. The Amazon description for the 12 inch rail says the mounting holes are 25.5cm apart but when measuring for my unit it was actually 26.1cm and that is what I used when marking out my screw holes - therefore I would suggest you do the same. There is a good amount of adjustment so you don't need to mm precise.Once attached the rail is very sturdy and there is absolutely no give when trying to move it. The rail looks good when mounted and at the risk of sounding ridiculous, it was a shame to cover it up with a towel!As mentioned by some other reviewers, to get the screwless finish you mount the rail over the brackets and then tighten two very small hex screws using the allen key provided. The key is a standard 'l-shape' but you can't do 360 degree rotations or else you risk scratching the wall - no big issue and if you have a small precision screwdriver kit you can just use that. Just make sure when mounting the rail you put the side with the allen keys at the bottom so the view from the top is flawless.

I was surprised to see that the tubular towel rail itself is supplied in two parts, but gratified they screw together perfectly with an invisible join to form a high quality rail and fixings. The rail looks smart and unobtrusive. The fixings provide a very secure rail. We're really delighted with this purchase.

Super quality, lovely brushed steely finish, 30cm size was exactly what I had been looking for the utility room but impossible to find in local shops. Went up easily above the radiator (I'm a very amateur diy person) and now provides a warm towel for my pooch when she comes in wet from a walk. Prompt delivery (a day earlier than stated over Christmas period, thank you), not very substantial packaging as it was in a strong polybag rather than a box but still arrived in perfect condition with simple instructions.

Arrived when expected. A very nice item but unfortunately I hadto return it. I wanted it to fit over a tall radiator but there was not enough depth to fit it to the wall and allow space to hang the towel. A pity as I liked it. We thought about putting blocks on the wall but this was not feasible. So sorry.

I got one of the polished ones and one of the brushed ones. They look great and easy to install... All the hardware they come with is great. But I used my own screws that were not countersunk heads and so they clashed with the nut/bolts inside the part of the rail that attaches to the wall.... This only occured on one of them and easily solved by cutting back the excess length in the bolt within the rail.But there should not be a problem if your screw heads are countersunk.
