Still One of the Most Important Facilitator Books on the Market
Luke has done a masterful job in writing a book on collaboration. His advice is durable, timely and still relevant. If you are working in a virtual world or in-person. Innovation Games can help you collaborate better. You do not need fancy tools to get a big bang lift out of what Luke has provided. Just buy his book, read it in small steps and try the collaboration games in small steps. If the word game is bothering you then use a different word. The material in this book is great!!!

A better way to better your business
Everybody wants to better their businesses and make serious efforts to do so, but maybe we could be more effective is the efforts were less serious and more fun. Business communication is always challenging within the organization, with customers, providers, contractors, etc.. This is in part because they are not face-to-face and because most times one or more people who could add significant value take a passive role, in part because most times there is someone who enjoys dominating the meeting. End result is incomplete and biased information and decisions.One main reason why games work is because (a) they are fun, and (b) they make everybody to actively participate. Hohmann's book is a great starting point. The games cover diverse needs and conducted properly add significant value (and save costs) to teams, projects, and entire enterprises.Don't get serious... instead, start using this book!

A must read for innovation leaders
I like this book because it's full of practical tools on discovering your customer's needs, wants, and likes. As an agile innovation consultant, I have used several techniques from this book to help customers describe their most important features (product box) and then prioritize them (buy a feature). The author emphasizes the need for thorough preparation and documentation while making the business process seem fun like a game.I highly recommend this book to anyone who is trying to draw out customer requirements. There are even some techniques for discovering the killer features that will set your product apart from your competitors' (Give them a hot tub). I plan on using these techniques in upcoming customer engagements especially for helping them with strategic direction and product requirements gathering.It's a must for any innovation professional.Armond [email protected]: @armond_m

Every product manager should own this book. I have used the games many times with different companies and product lines with both customers and sales teams. Your success with the games is directly tied to your preparation. The games are fun for those participating and can provide a wealth of information for the product manager.

Great read as well as insight
I first heard of this book while reading about coding debt, so I looked up the book and sounded just what I was looking for, and I was not disappointed. This book shows creative ways to work with clients to find out what they like, don't like and want in new or updated products. This book was so helpful I recommended it to my company and it is now a mandatory read for all mangers in my section.

Easy to digest book about moving your customers mindset outside the box to obtain more detailed data in regards to their product/service and ways to improve upon them
I liked this book as it was easy to read and digest the ideas and information within. Many creative ideas in regards to facilitating workshops intended to elicit more detailed feedback in regards to product/service improvements.

Save Your Money: Book is Just a Long Infomercial for the Author
Most of the content of this book belongs in sales brochure not a book. A large proportion of this book is a long, overblown ad for the author's services.Some of the ideas, while creative, are just repackaging of many well-known and established techniques.In addition, there is one reality the author ignores. The exercises are not going to work well with "average," everyday people. They require a degree of creativity and acumen that quite honestly, most people (including very well-educated ones) just do not possess. I work in this industry everyday and if there is one thing I've learned it is most individuals are much better reacting to ideas than creating them.

Le guide pour les Serious Games
Ce livre est la référence en terme de Serious Game. Ne plus se baser sur les simples dire des clients mais en déduire son réel besoin. Développer une stratégie de développement du produit en axant valeur ajouté et temps de développement (voir Product box). Dans un contexte Scrum (bien que non spécifique à cette environnement) c'est a mettre entre toute les mains des Product Owner. Il permet d'acquérir un éventail d'outils d'analyse du besoin. La qualité de l'impression est médiocre pour le prix
-Un livre de 150 pages grand format en noir et blanc....la couleur aurait été logique pour un livre sur les innovation GAMES...-Les photos de séance de design thinking sont en tres basse résolution... genre envoyé par SMS ...c est dommage pour un livre a 30€ ...Je n ai pas encore lut le livre, qui doit etre dans son contenu génial apparemment...A 20€ je dirait apres l avoir lut surement 5 étoiles...Mais il faut faire une 2eme édition de toute urgence ;)Arrivez vous a lire le texte dans l image pleine page !??

Aplicar la innovación en el uso de imágenes....
Hubiera mejorado mucho si se hubieran usado buenas fotos e imágenes de calidad y a color. Las que se presentan en el libro no se ven y bajan el nivel del contenido del libro. Una imagen dice más que mil palabras... bueno aqui se dejo mucho que decir

Great collection of Serious Games for customer discovery
An excellent collection of serious games/ methods for understanding customer needs and co-creating with them. Images could use a refresh but there isn’t another book that comes close.
