Douglas Sterling Silver Fox Plush Stuffed Animal

love this plush and am super happy with it!! he’s a great size for cuddling even as an adult and the weighted feet and understuffed body make him very huggable. i included a photo of him next to a regular-sized Douglas plush (the black cat) for comparison. the face is realistically fox-looking not like a wolf or a dog.the fur is very soft, at least on the body and black extremities; unfortunately the fur of the tail, as other reviewers have pointed out, is not great quality. it’s kind of wiry and stiff, not too soft. a wash did help with the texture but not much. there was also some shedding of the gray fur going on when i received him.now, i am taking a star off and that’s because something… odd happened when i got this plush. i opened him up to inspect him and within not long at all my eyes and throat were itching and my skin was red where the fur had touched me. i am allergic to exactly one thing in this world, and it’s cats, and i quickly deduced that was not the culprit… it was the plush. yikes. BUT, i wasn’t about to give up on this guy, so i just washed him in the sink with some mild soap and warm water, towel-dried him and let the wetter parts air dry over night. not only did this fix the allergic reaction i was having, it made the fur so much nicer! fluffier and softer and more realistic. it also helped a LOT with the shedding. the very last photo i included is when i first opened him and the first is after the wash. it is subtle in the photos but trust. if you’re not satisfied with the fur on this guy definitely wash him once or twice and see how you like it.i have no idea what was causing my reaction; it may have been something from the amazon warehouse or factory, but i’m at least 90% sure they put some kind of styling gel or spray on him to make the fur clump up and i just needed to wash it off. bonus is that he also now smells very nice and has lost that plasticky factory smell.overall he is very WORTHY of a place in my collection 🩶🫀

The media could not be loaded. I had been wanting this silver fox for months, but was hesitant to order since I live in Europe and it gets kinda expensive. But I was worth EVERY penny! This is by far my favourite Douglas plush out of all I have, and I have a lot. The fur is so soft, it’s floppy, it looks super realistic, and as always it is high quality.I wish I could give it more stars than just 5, because this plushie is just absolutely amazing

This is a super nice Silver Fox plush animal! I got this for my granddaughter’s 11th birthday, who is a Silver Fox fan. On her birthday, after opening her present, and seeing it, she was totally surprised. It made her birthday one to remember. She carries her fox everywhere she goes. It is hard to find an actual plush Silver Fox. After searching everywhere, this was the only one I could find that was true to what they really look like. I was surprised at how large, soft, life - like and well made it is. If you are looking for a realistic true Silver Fox plush this is the one for you! Very happy with my purchase.

I ordered it from Italy on December 16th and today January 10th I received it, so the shipment was quite fast😍 the fur is not soft, it is slightly rough but it doesn't matter, the plush is wonderful!😍

I love the quality and realistic appearance and feel of Douglas brand stuffed animals. This fox is adorable and has the most realistic eyes. Its feet, muzzle and ears are extremely soft, as in mink soft. The rest of the fur isn’t as soft unfortunately. It’s more wiry feeling. It looks great though. The way the black guard hairs are lying over the silver undercoat is very…..well, realistic. :) . And it is highly cuddle-able. Great for kids, and adults too :) .

The photos on the listing do not do this guy justice. He is gorgeous. He is super soft down the body and legs and face, and the detail in the first is so beautiful. He's definitely realistic. He's floppy and cuddly and really nice to hold. One thing I don't like though is the tail. It was stuffed too much (I unstuffed mine some to make it more floppy) and has a more rough texture than the rest of the fox. Over all though, I love mine and I HIGHLY recommend buying!!
