I didn't need the instructions for this sensor. Put in the batteries, the light blinks red to show that it's ready to be added. In Smartthings, I just clicked on the '+' button within 'devices' and it was found quickly and added to my devices. In the background a notification popped up to say that Alexa had also added the device with no additional input from me.Installation was a breeze and it is working fine, quickly reporting its open or closed status. The light blinks green when the door is opened or closed.If the battery life is a year or more (9 years claimed), due to the convenience of AAA batteries, I can see myself replacing my 4 other contact sensors with these.No vibration/tamper sensing, but I don't need those sensors, just open or closed, so this does all that I need.This is a day 1 review, but so far, expectations very much exceeded!I hope this was helpful!

Installed as part of Home Automation routine via Athom Homey, they replaced a couple WiFi models from a different manufacturer. These are far superior, easier to installx respond faster and use AAA batteries

Good sensor, it takes standard AAA batteries so you can put rechargeable in it and easier to find of course. Connected with smartthings easily. Downside is that the tamper is not available in smartthings so it might not be useful as a security device.

Works well. Indicator to show when contact is made and un made makes install easy. Nice feature to have built in temperature sensor.

All worked as expected. Not even a glitch during setup with my Smarthings hub, and has worked fine now for several months

Thought these were quite good at first, but they keep disconnecting and need to be relinked.

Tried with Smartthings,tuya,zigbee,Google,Alexa,TCP smart,ultrabrite. Sensor flashing,just not wanting to connect.

Costs a little more than the Sonoff one's but this comes with the two AAA batteries required for operation, so that's a plus.It's also about twice the size but this isn't an issue for my use case. It's also worth noting that the PCB design allows for customization of the sensor part; you could remove the magnetic sensor and solder on a micro-switch if you need a mechanical solution, such as a door bell push...

Dit deurcontact besteld nadat ik had gezien dat hij compatibel is met de Conbee stick, geactiveerd en getest en goed werkend.Vervolgens geplaatst aan de klep van de brievenbus zodat ik nu een melding krijg als er iets in de brievenbus is bezorgd.Daarbij geeft hij dan ook nog eens de temperatuur in de brievenbus weer.

Après un mois de tester le produit a l'air très fiable

sensore ottimo, molto sensibile, finora non sbaglia un colpo. aderisce perfettamente sulla mia porta blindata, anche sbattendo forte la porta non si muove di un millimetro. funziona nativamente con il sistema Smartthing (avete bisogno dell'HUB) e poi viene riconosciuto da Alexa (anche se io ho l'echo con Zigbee integrato).consigliatissimo.

I'm a avid zigbee device user in my smart home and I have never been disappointed by frient/develco devices.Yes, it's a bit more expensive than say a Xiaomi or SONOFF contact sensor. But to me it's absolutely worth the price.- excellent technical documentation is available (this seems to be the norm for frient and it's refreshing to see a manufacturer just publish all the information with regard to the zigbee clusteres used and threshold values they recommend!)- build quality is great, it's not weather sealed so you can't use it outdoors, but they do not claim you can- uses 2x AAA batteries, which I much prefer over coin-cell batteries like a lot of other manufacturer use- very stable and does not drop out of the mesh even if the coordinator has been down for a few hours- pro version has additional tamper sensor and temperature sensor, which are nice additions.
