It works, plain and simple
Revived a Predator G9-793 series. Thought a faulty mother board, turned out the battery was causing the weird buzzing, when removed the buzzing went away (despite high thermal temps). I still repasted the cpu and gpu. Cleaned the fans, anyway, the battery replaced the faulty one which was causing a myrid of problems, from the board when under heavy load having a buzzing sound coming through speakers, to the batteries not charging, and the laptop shutting down due to trying to draw from the battery that just wasn't present.Good to have a couple of these on hand for when the battery goes again. Thanks for a functional alternative, im hoping to at least get 2-3yrs out of the batteries, longer than i did with acers OEM batteries.

Predator 17 G9 Battery Replacement Procedure
I just replaced the original 6 year old battery in my Predator. Thought I would post the procedure in case it saves anyone some of the head scratching I experienced (AGAIN, THIS IS SPECIFIC TO THE ACER PREDATOR 17 G9):(All screws are black Phillips, except the RAM screw which is chrome. Keep your screws mapped or you're going to damage the case upon reassembly!)1. Remove CD-drive, and 2 screws on edge of case in the CD-drive bay2. Remove access cover, 2 screws captured on rear edge. These are the only screws that are captured3. Remove 12 bottom case screws. Two lengths, no indicators, keep them mapped out4. Remove 7 screws under access cover5. Remove hard drive (pry from forward edge) and 1 screw beneath. Disconnect SATA6. Remove 1 screw and slide top stick of RAM to side to remove7. Stand laptop on back edge, pry bottom cover apart on front edge with all due care using case pry (spudger) and shims. Once front and sides are free, it seems the back wants to hinge open; it doesn't. Lay laptop down flat on top (lid) and slide bottom straight off; it has two cleats that slide into the back edge of the red fan vents. You're in!8. Remove battery cable connector and 6 screws. Remove the old battery9. Install battery cable connector, insert the new battery and reinstall 6 screws.10. Replace the bottom cover on the unit, but be sure to feed the hard drive cable through the opening first. Cover just presses on nice and easy, straight down.11. Reinstall screw in drive bay and reinstall drive after connecting cable12. Slide RAM back into place and reinstall (chrome) screw13. Reinstall 7 screws under access cover14. Reinstall 12 bottom case screws in proper locations. Be sure to use the correct length screw!15. Reinstall access cover and 2 screws. It bulges until the screws are snugged.16. Reinstall 2 CD-drive bay edge screws. Slide CD-drive back into place.17. Turn it over, lift the lid, hold your breath, push the power button, watch the keyboard light up! My battery was half charged out of the box. Good luck!

Worked just fine in my Acer 17 G9-792 as indicated in listing
I have only had this batter a few days, but so far it is working well. Hopefully that will continue as the first battery I purchased from a different seller did not work because it was bad.

Seriously disappointing Predator battery
I had replaced my original one as the battery life was really low. This one started out OK and now will not charge past 10% even when plugged into the wall for hours on end. if you have one of these, you know what a pain it is to install it in the laptop you basically have to take the keyboard out separate the whole laptop just to get to the battery compartment. Not recommended at all. I am going to look for another brand.

Didn't last long...8 no or less...
Used this battery to replace the OEM original Acer battery that had died back in Dec. 2023. Well here we are in Aug. 2024 about 8 months later, there have been almost no power cycles on this batt (as it stays plugged in most of the time) and yet it is basically dead now and needs replaced. Batt reports 100% but laptop dies immediately when power supply is unplugged. Disappointed.
