Only real gripe is the pricing.
This protein powder is top shelf. Great nutritionals and ingredients. Mixes cleanly in my vitamix with almond milk and a banana. I toss a little powdered PB in there and it tastes great. HOWEVER, the price is really high. I did a comparison against Earth Chimp and the nutritionals are very similar, however the Earth Chimp is half the price. I would like to stay with this product, but for the pricing, my next bag of powder is going to be Earth Chimp.

Best protein powder ever!
I've tried so many products and have found most to be mediocre at best. Ladder is truly the best!! No garbage ingredients, tastes amazing, high protein and blends well. I drink it in a smoothie daily. One factor that sets Ladder apart from the others is it works with my dietary needs (GF) and my digestive medical issues. It's worth every penny!

Best all around plant based protein
The plant based protein market is can be hard to navigate. A lot of proteins will either have really good taste, really good blend power, or really good ingredients. But none do all 3 that well. I was referred to this product by a family friend, and I’m actually pleasantly surprised. It not only blends in easy with all the other stuff I put into my smoothies, but it tastes great too. No complaints here. Will be investing in these for the long term!

Grainy texture
Chocolate flavor is pretty good without the pea or flax flavor you get in other plant-based powders, but it doesn’t dissolve well in a shaker bottle so it ends up tasting grainy. I mixed with hot water and left it in the fridge to cool overnight and that seemed to help a little.

Carrageenan.... seriously?! For $70?!
I’ll admit, I bought a bag because Arnie backs this stuff.Flavor is good and it mixes well. However, for $70, I’m surprised to see carrageenan as an ingredient.... it’s been linked in numerous studies to leaky gut and that is NOT good...Yes, they added probiotics to combat that. But still, the health nut in me says why use carrageenan at all?!For $70, it’s a serious purchase of protein powder... not sure I’ll keep buying with the carrageenan being in it... 4/5...

Thick sludge tastes like yuck
I got this plant protein only because the Ladder whey protein was not available. I love chocolate Ladder whey protein. This plant protein is a super fine powder like baby powder. It made a thick sludge in my glass, and I had to add extra water to make it drinkable. I am not sure what it tastes like, but it certainly does not taste like chocolate. The word that comes to mind is yuck.I hope Ladder whey protein becomes available again because this product is a big fail, and I am canceling my subscription.

4 Star Quality Protein w/ 2 Star Flavor
Revised Review Addition Below-Original Review-I should preface that I would’ve given a 5 Star review due to the ingredients, but had to review the entirety of the product. The ingredients in this proteins powder are super quality & no issues there. My only issue is with the taste. I’ve been drinking protein powders since the 80’s when they were really chalky & this might be the worst tasting protein that I’ve ever tried.Unfortunately, I have a newly acquired gluten & dairy sensitivity, so I have to change & I thought this would be the one. It’s mostly because of the co-owners of the company, Arnold & LeBron, I thought that the ingredients would be followed with an amazing taste.Nonetheless, they don’t skimp at all with the ingredients, so if you can handle the taste then the other benefits should follow.New Review-After looking again at the ingredients I noticed that Ladder uses a controversial thickening agent in their protein powder called carrageenan. Personally, I’m going to throw mine away right now. I’ve found when I have taken carrageenan that it causes inflammation & bowel issues, both of which I’m currently experiencing!😐Outside of this one ingredient, the rest of the ingredients are definitely quality. Here’s a little bit of what symptoms this stuff has been found to cause: -Hope this helps some!Dangers and side effects of carrageenanProducts with carrageenan may be labeled as “natural,” but limited studies show that carrageenan may promote or cause:inflammationbloatingirritable bowel syndromeglucose intolerancecolon cancerfood allergiesIncreased inflammation can lead to a greater likelihood of other diseases, such as:inflammatory bowel diseasearthritistendonitischronic cholecystitis, or gallbladder inflammation
