A Unicorn Named Sparkle and the Perfect Valentine

My granddaughter got this book out of the library. She is not an avid book reader but I read this to her and she loved it!! I bought the series for her for Christmas and also as a gift for my best friends granddaughters as well. It’s easy reading and has is sweetly illustrated. Highly recommend!!

My 7 year old granddaughter loves it.

With a surprisingly sweet message of acceptance, this engaging story is a real winner. Inspired by the beautiful valentines his friend Lucy makes, a unicorn named Sparkles attempts to create his own special card. He does his best to construct a valentine that expresses how much he cares for Lucy, but his horn and hooves are not ideal for crafting. Despite its appearance, Lucy adores the card and the effort behind it. The cheerful ending reassures readers that you don’t have to be perfect to be loved.

Cute story, suitable for preschool-K1 age range. Good size hardcover book, nicely bound, great for sharing. Darling and colorful artwork, subtle moral without being preachy. Fair value, sound purchase.
