Ammonia is just about the only thing that'll keep wild critters out of your trash cans, hahaha

I use a spray bottle with 89% full with ammonia and the rest ordinary dish washing detergent. It cleans most things quickly and easily.

There is absolutely no way that this isn't, AT BEST, watered down ammonia and AT WORST, not ammonia at all. I know ammonia. You take the lid off a container and the smell smacks you in the face. This has virtually no smell - and that's with my nose literally shoved into the container. I'm very bummed because ammonia has been hard to find in stores. I wish I would have seen the reviews (especially with the pH stripes- PROOF) and not wasted my time.

I never knew how difficult it was to find ammonia in the stores. Thankfully Amazon never disappoints. It was a quick and easy purchase, arrived to my doorstep packaged well and did not leak (thankfully). Fair price and I was able to get the blueing stain out of my husbands white lab coat.

Kills bad dog smells well. For synthetic blankets, clothing etc (not wool or silk). I mixed 2cups water, 1/2 cup dish detergent (make sure it doesn’t contain bleach) and 2/3 cup of this ammonia in a large bowl. Let item soak for 30 mins then run through washing machine like normal. It even worked on fabric that was covered in liquid from a large abscess.

The product is advertised as pure and scent free. This should have been the give-away for me. Normal household ammonia has a very strong smell. Since this product is "pure", there are no perfumes or agents to mask the smell. The reason why it doesn't smell is that it is so heavily diluted in water that it is useless as a cleaning agent. I used to use household ammonia to degrease fume hoods and stoves. This product won't cut it. You might as well use soap and water. Canada now bars the sales of aqueous household ammonia because it is toxic to the environment. After you use it, it flows through sewers into rivers, ponds, and lakes. It kills wildlife. I hope somebody here can recommend an alternative as a cleaner.
