Great for fixing moldy paint cracked bathroom ceiling.
Had some paint flaking and the beginnings of mold on a bathroom ceiling and this product was recommended. It’s been up for over and year and I’ve had no issues at all. I’m definitely a DIY person and this job was easy to do. After sanding and scraping all the old paint off the ceiling I wiped all the dust down and gave a good solid coat of this. It dries clear and has a hard plastic feel like paint so I could tell it was durable. Primer and then paint and the ceiling will hopefully last another 30 years. Would recommend to anyone dealing with the classic bathroom ceiling issues. Also, reminding my kids to use fan while showering will likely help a lot too.

Perfect
After reading reviews, I was a little worried. I watched a couple of videos and went to work. This product is amazing! Totally easy to apply. Is it thin? Yes! And it is supposed to be!!! Went on like a dream and dried quickly. I put on 3 coats cuz I didn't want to do it over. It is absolutely perfect for my peeling ceilings!!! Didnt smell bad at all. Looks great. Easy coverage that you can see. Highly recommend!!

the product name is well trusted
Kind of thick. Thought I had ordered the non triple version. Saw a video from a customer who applied it to a portion of her bathroom wall/ceiling. Then she reviewed 4 months later w a positive review. My premium price paint has "primer built in. Hard to call it w/o a 1 or 2 year wait period, but paint persons still recommend a primer 1st. ave a primer for synthetic stucco and another primer for concrete/bricks. They all smell the same. I also have some oil based primer, same brand, that says put it on water or oil base and paint oil or base. we will see. ... Used brush and mini roller to apply.

Great stuff to have in your armoury
I've used this before when I was trying to paper a wall. I lifted the paper to position and parts of the original builders paint started peeling off where they had not printed drywall compound underneath. I stripped what I could and used this to seal down the edges. Worked a treat On this more recent project I was painting a whole house which had had many paint jobs over the years. Most was ok, but we'd suddenly get parts when the paint peeled off during prep. This worked to get those stuck down. I actually brought it where sections of popcorn needed repair (complete removal not wanted). Used a craft knife to cut back until the popcorn was better fixed. Then applied peel stop. I'd intended to then use a popcorn repair product and did do this at first on one section. I'm pretty confident the Peel Stop was helping there. We ended up having new popcorn sprayed on the repair areas. In one area this was fine e before we'd applied the Peel Stop and the new popcorn was cracking afterwards. Well worth having around to solve problems where a coating comes off partially and then the rest is difficult to remove (which always seems to be the case).

2 of 3 cans were defective ...can't return
Great stuff. Using it on peeling house trim that is exposed to desert sun. Easy to use and clean up. Update: Well, that was the first can. This morning, June 1, 2018, for the first time, I opened the second two cans I ordered and BOTH are defective. The paint is separated and can't be mixed. The first can is from a previous order and is still good and all three were stored next to each other, so something is wrong with the second two cans. They are both from the same lot number. It is frustrating that Amazon won't let me return this defective product as the 30 days have passed. It's been about 3 1/2 months. Really, though, WHO opens and inspects a can of paint immediately upon delivery? You expect it to be as good as the last can and not defective. 2nd update: June 3, 2018 Checked the 4th and 5th cans I ordered immediately upon arrival. They are fine. Still mad about not being able to return/exchange the 2 defective cans, though. I'm buying 2 more cans but will open and inspect the primer when they arrive. Guess I'll just have to eat the $23 I'm out from the last order.

Recommend two coats outdoors
I’m impressed. Used this product to prime scraped outside door casings. Applied two coats. Excellent adhesion. Accepted finish coat well. It’s getting hammered by rain this winter and holding up well.

STUFF WORKS LIKE MAGIC!!
This stuff works really good! If you have peeling paint, this stuff is perfect. It's kinda like a glue that seals loose paint. My porch had peeling paint so I painted it with peel stop and no more peeling paint. Went over it with regular paint and no more problems. Stuff works like magic.

I found this product to be amazing. After trying twice to sand and seal a peeling bathroom ceiling (with other sealers) only to have it fail both times, I ordered this product and it has worked. I once again scraped/sanded the whole ceiling and gave it two coats of this Zinsser product and painted with ceiling paint. If this hadn't worked, I was going to replace the actual ceiling plaster board. I understand other reviewers concerns regarding the colour but this is only a sealer - not a paint. It is a very watery white colour and you will need to paint with your final paint colour. I cannot praise this product enough.

I had alot of peeling paint, after removing the easily removable stuff. I did two coats and it was also just thick enough that it wasn't noticeable where paint levels were lower. It is a little expensive but it will save you alot of prep having to sand everything back. Would recommend this product.
