I didn’t think it worked at first. There are no install instructions. You connect red to red and black to black in the iDA-X100 harness. You’ll notice a blue light flash on the device. Comes up as Jie Rui BT-5908 in Bluetooth for me. Obvs not official Alpine. I assumed the Bluetooth menu would be enabled in settings but selecting it did nothing. You have to go to Aux and your phone will play. It doesn’t seem like the included mic is functional and I don’t think the telephone button works with this either but over all I’m happy. It’s an old deck and Bluetooth music is now working

The Bluetooth adapter works as described on my Alpine 9886M head unit.You must select the" AUX " mode as your source and not "Bluetooth" for it to play or stream your music.The Bluetooth mode on your head unit is for the OEM Alpine Bluetooth box only.

unfortunately 2 days after i ordered this part the deck died completely. will not be able to give a proper review. FYI, the part doesn't come with instructions but the wiring info is on this page.

It does the job, no instructions to install however simple enough. Constant static noise when nothing is connected through bluetooth, seems to sound fine once music is playing .
