CCNA Wireless 640-722 Official Cert Guide

It was very helpful and thorough on going over the current wireless technologies. A very good study guide. Would recommend this for anyone going for their Ccna wireless.

Great book. Really helpful and better from previous version. Should have also e-book in my opinion for free but it's another discuss.

I read this book cover to cover once while working as a wireless network administrator. I went and took the CCNA Wireless at Live 2014 and passed first try. Would recommend.

This book gave me the needed information in order for me to complete my next certification in my Cisco career.

The author doesn't forget that NCS and Prime exist and gives similarities between the two. I found the reading to be update considering how far back the exam is.

The included DVD and associated practice tests WILL NOT work with a Mac. It is EXTREMELY dificult to use it on a Mac. WTF Cisco??????? Update: 10 Dec 2015. I finally got the included practice tests and test engine to load on my work laptop. I used the practice tests as a guide to my level of knowledge, and was getting 95% every time. When I took the test, I failed miserably: 504/1000, where 790/1000 was passing. The included practice tests are 100% useless. Also the book does not prepare you for the test, you will need to get the Actual Tests test for any real prep. Also, this test is deprecated as of 14 Dec 2015, so it is useless after that.

Das Buch ist als Self-Study Cert Guide hervorragend um das Grundverständnis der WLAN-Funktionalität und einem sinnvollen Aufbau (natürlich mit Cisco Produkten) von WLAN-Infrakstrukturen geeignet. WLAN-Techniken werden in ihren Basisfunktionen und teilweise auch etwas tiefergehend erklärt, ebenso wie Methoden um die Signalstärke zu optimieren und Störfaktoren zu identifizieren oder zu beseitigen. Für eine Vorbereitung zum CCNA Wireless ICUWN (640-722) ist dieser Self-Study Cert Guide jedoch leider bei weitem nicht ausreichend, wie ich dann schmerzhaft feststellen musste, da das Zertifizierungsexamen mit ca. 270€ nicht gerade günstig ist. Hierfür sollte dann doch noch TestKing oder Pass4Sure hinzugezogen werden, da leider ca. 30-40% der gestellten Fragen in diesem Self-Study Cert Guide nicht einmal im Ansatz erwähnt werden und meines Erachtens teilweise nur bedingt relevant sind für den CCNA Wireless. Leider sind mir sogar 1-2 Fragen aufgefallen, bei denen man nur die am wenigsten falsche Antwort geben konnte, was jetzt jedoch eher die Prüfungsfragen bewertet als dieses Buch. Alles in allem ist das Buch gut geeignet um das gewünschte Wissen aufzubauen, ist nur leider nicht ausreichend Zertifizierungsgrundlage.

Excellent Book for Self study on CCNA - wireless.

I would highly recommend this book if you want to learn a lot about wireless communication and wireless networking. This book will do that in a clear and accessible manner. You will enjoy reading this book and i recommend this book over other books on wireless communication where the books are filled with derivations and mathematics and you don't learn anything useful or even practical for the real world. The book also comes with a CD containing two real life practice exams and 170 further practice questions. When it comes to learning anything about computing and networking i believe the cisco books are the absolute best you can get.Another great book for networking and communications in a clear and useful manner is William stallings "Data and computer communications" but go for the older versions as the new versions don't really contain that much more information to justify the cost.
