I adore this kit!
I bought this for me and my kiddos. I didn’t have high expectations, but I will say I was pleasantly surprised. The scents were great and it was really easy to use. The stickers included make your final product look store bought which is really cool!

Genuinely Impressed!
As a new SAHM I've been searching for a hobby that isn't overly time consuming but still engaging and creative and didn't break the bank with tons of needed supplies. I have always had an interest in candle making but was put off by my own preconceived notion that it required a lot of time and all candles were full of harmful parabens and chemicals. After doing quite a bit of research, I discovered both were not true! I began the hunt for an inclusive starter kit that was high quality and free from parabens, paraffin, and other icky substances used in lower quality candles. After coming across this set, I was pleased to find they use 100% soy wax, cotton and wood wicks, and had no artificial dyes! The only negative I could find in the materials was that they did not provide much information about the quality of their synthetic fragrances. Which wasn't a huge deal breaker to me as I had already decided to use my own essential oils instead (definitely do your own research in using EO in candles).Upon receiving the kit, I tore it open like a kid on Christmas day. My initial thought was how securely and well packaged everything was. All of my utensils came in great condition! Then I noticed how high quality the candle accessories were! Wow! The wick trimmers alone are going to last me years, I can already tell!If you're looking into a pretty clean and inclusive kit to get your feet wet with candle making, I highly recommend this kit! I already can't wait to get started!

Beautiful packaging and lovely scents
This is my first time making a candle and honestly what put me off was trying to find the right starter kit. The packaging for these candles is what caught my eye. I wanted a container and label that I can gift to others and at the same time to display and use in my home. I'm very happy with this purchase. I'd also definitely gift this kit to someone. The packaging is super nice! The process was super easy and this kit came with everything and then more. I always wanted a wicker trimmer and candle snugger and this kit provided these in a nice velvet pouch! I love that there are two wick options so I can test and see how each burns if I pursue candle making.I'm waiting for my candle to cure before I test it out to light. It already smells yummy.

I've fallen in love with candle making
Okay, so, first, I am a candle fanatic. Like, I have 93 candles as of last count. Not saying that this makes me an expert - I just really really like candles. I never thought of actually making them myself until this last holiday season.I scoured Amazon for the perfect candle making kit. Most kits came with very plain looking packaging, scents, and containers. When they say "luxury candle making kit" with this one, they mean it. First, the scents are unique and varied. The containers are glass vessels rather than metal tins. All of the tools are re-usable (good bye disposable items!). You even get very professional looking labels for your new creations and, most importantly, warning stickers are included for each candle. The quality of this kit is amazing. Everything from the box it comes in (I love the quote inside the box: "I have too many candles, said no one!") screams quality. Many of these items will be re-used a great many times so the value for this kit is incredible. It includes everything you will need, except for a double boiler! The creator of this kit even went an extra mile by including a very nice set of black candle care tools - including a wick trimmer, wick dipper, and candle snuffer. I had a slight issue with my goodies, but I will speak more to that later.I was immediately hooked as soon as I laid everything out and started the candle making process. Very simple and straight forward instructions are included in the kit. There is also a link to the company's website with more detailed articles on candle making for those who are interested. These links are not necessary to be successful those. The written instructions in the kit suffice just fine but I really dig the extra information (I am a very data driven individual).I poured two candles without any issues at all. When I was preparing the jar for the third candle and I tried attaching the wick to the wick centering device, the wick popped out of the wick holder. Damn! Not to worry though! Also included in the kit are wooden wicks! That's right, there are enough wicks included for you to decide if you want to go the cotton wick route or try something new with wooden wicks.I will admit to being very impatient so I did not let the candles cure for the correct amount of time before I first lit one. Even with a short cure, the hot throw (the scent from the candle when lit) was noticeable in my small testing environment (read: bathroom). After the appropriate cure time, I was able to move the candles into my living room and enjoy the extended hot throw there. So, just a reminder folks: your patience will pay off when you finally light your first candle, step back, and say "damn that smells good! I made that!".The candles are wicked perfectly with the included cotton wicks. The first few burns of the candle leave minimal wax on the side of the container. By the mid-way point, all wax from the sides of the container are fully melted for a proper melt pool. Never once did I feel the flame got too large to be safe, nor too small to not provide enough heat for the fuel that is the candle wax in our neat little combustion system. The only wick I had issues with was the wooden wick. The single ply wick that is included just does not have enough "oomph" for this wax and fragrance oil combination. After the first burn, the wooden wick ended up burning itself out. I tried all the tricks in my book but I could not revive the candle. This can be fixed by simply including booster wooden wicks in this candle making kit rather than a single ply wick. Please note, these are candles and every one of them are unique. Your experience with these wooden wicks may vary greatly from mine so don't let this be a discouragement! The scents are very refreshing. There is something subtle and fruity, something moderate and citrusy, and something strong and warm/inviting. I did my standard BLO burn test (bathroom, living room, and other) and the hot throw ended up being very appropriate for the scents involved.I only had one slight issue with this kit. As stated earlier, the maker is kind enough to hook you up with a set of candle care tools. Included should be a wick trimmer, wick dipper, and candle snuffer. I was pretty stoked about this because, while I already have a set of tools, these are cooler because they are black in color and my wick trimmers are admittedly getting dull (I told you I like candles!). However, my kit did not include the wick trimmers. I received two candle snuffers instead. The bad ends here though.I reached out to the company and Veronique very quickly and cordially responded to my email inquiry. I was instructed to start the return process through Amazon because all of the stock for these kits reside in Amazon warehouses. I totally get this. It's all a part of Amazon shipping logistics. I attempted to start the return process for a "missing part/accessory" only but could only find a way to return the whole kit. Well, I had already dug into my kit pretty thoroughly so I didn't feel comfortable returning a partially used kit. I emailed Veronique back and she explained how I could have better communicated with Amazon to request the single missing part. Now I know for the future! She was also very kind in extending an offer to me to make things right. Folks, now THIS is customer service!I will end by saying I am very proud of my creations. I have one of my candles burning in my home right this very minute. What truly made this kit special for me is that it instantly sparked a passion in me. I have since purchased a metric truck ton of candle making supplies and now it is an avid hobby of mine! I have only the Minimale Collective candle making kit to thank for this. Please do not let the exclusion of one star deter you here. I don't usually leave 5-star reviews as is, and with the missing wick trimmers, I only found it appropriate to deduct one star. This is not Veronique's fault though! Stuff happens, and I doubt you will have the same experience as I had in this regard.Veronique, thank you so much for exposing me to a new and very exciting hobby. Happy candle making all!
