This stuff is so potent and strong smelling my whole kitchen smells like truffle. Everytime the cupboard where it lives is opened you get a waft of truffle. I've had to put it in a sealed bag because it's almost too strong smelling.Delicious on eggs.

Lovely flavoured condiment, I may be a bit of a truffle addict but this is lovely, a dusting on almost any dish adds a lovely bit of extra flavour, I think my favourite is with eggs.

Great product. Adds depth of flavour to any dish.Even double wrapped in a tub and clingfilm but I can still smell it the next morning . (It saves buying a truffle scented candle)

High quality with such a good flavour and scent. Add instant umami to every dish. A little goes a very long way so it actually is good value for money and I will buy again when this is used.

This is a wonderful product with an intense umami truffle taste. It is strong, so you don't need to use a lot of it. I love the difference it makes to dishes when I do a cook up. I've used it in spaghetti Bolognese sauce, stuffed peppers and cottage pie. If I am doing a roast, I would add some to the gravy too. Bags of flavour and very moreish.

I have tried lots of truffle powders/salts over the past few years & like many people am prettyaddicted to the stuff. I generally prefer them to infused oils, which I find always taste 'off' after being open even for a short while.The best I have tasted was one I brought back from a holiday in Italy, bought from an independent producer with a small shop in San Gimignano.Others I have tried include those bought through Italian food importers here in the UK and some ordered online directly from Italy, plus others on Amazon.This TruffleHunter Black Truffle Dust has a reasonably intense flavour but doesn't really taste of truffle. It's true that even the decent ones rarely contain more than 5% actual truffle content, usually less than 3%, but this one has a rather strange, almost chemical taste. Whether this comes from the Carob & mushroom powder I don't know. Most will inevitably be predominantly salt (fine or coarse) & mushroom, carob powder plus other bulking ingredients.This one is actually more similar to 'Sabatino Tartufi Truffle Zest Seasoning, The Original' than some more salty versions I have tried, and actually more intense in flavour, however for me has a slightly odd taste & is not as nice.For reference, I should probably add that the Sabatino Original Zest is also not great but does have a slightly more pleasant flavour than this one. Neither though, are as good as others I have tried from Italy.Sadly, I'm yet to find one that that hits the spot & is easily sourced from the UK.

Firstly, I'm not recommending this brand or seller over any other. Delivery was prompt, but this is the first "truffle dust" I've ever bought and so I'm just saying that truffle dust generally it's great and there may be better ones but this one did the trick. Next, this isn't pure ground up truffle it's a mix of some truffle with flavoured mushroom and carob and a bunch of salt.... But it tastes great, they have captured the taste of black summer truffle wonderfully. I only received it the other day (missed delivery) but I the a bit on some plain oiled pasta last night and it was lovely. The strong truffle flavour is addictive, and so I've had some more this morning. Considering the price of truffle and how far a jar of this gets you it's a very good deal and I'm glad to have it in my store cupboard. Once opened the packaging won't conceal the smell... I can smell it through my cupboard doors and through the jar despite being in there with every other herb and spice on the planet. So good, but I makes me want to open the cupboard and eat it immediately. I know how truffle pigs feel. It turned basic pasta into something that felt like an expensive dish, so even if you're a bad cook who likes good food it's hard to mess up. If you haven't tried it, try some. I can't guarantee this is the best brand etc because it's the first one I tried but it definitely worked for me.

I have only sent this to others I have not tried it myself but All of my friends that like to cook seem happy to get it.I have not had any problems with getting it delivered to the correct address on time with no complaints. One of my friends thought it was posh which was a good thing for. I cannot give it five stars because I have not tried it myself yet.
