Melissa & Doug Colorful Fish Wooden Chunky Puzzle (8 pcs)

The media could not be loaded. My two little toddler twins can play together. Is big enough and sturdy for them to play. The fishes are really chunky that is perfect for them to grab. They were entertaining for a couple hours! Recommended!The only thing I didn’t like about it. The red and orange fishes are close together. As you can see in the video the orange fish is darker than the photo . It might confuse a toddler.

The fish are a good size and weight for little hands to manipulate, and the depth of the board spaces is perfect for sliding them in without overcorrecting. A lot of others puzzles are more shallow so the pieces don’t thunk into place very satisfyingly and my toddler will keep wiggling the pieces around. The fish are also good for stacking, and are thick enough to balance on their edges. The only problem is the paint will rub away when being cleaned, and the corners are starting to show wear after a few months of heavy toddler use, but they are one of the favorite toys. Colors remain bright, and I’m going to try using beeswax to seal them between cleanings.

The media could not be loaded. Great puzzle for children learning their colors, especially because the background on the puzzle has a matching color to the puzzle piece! The puzzle and pieces are durable, brightly colored, and safely rounded. Exactly as advertised!

Bought this and a few other Melissa & Doug puzzles for my 2 year old. He was sitting along side me as we did some online "puzzle" shopping, and this "fishy" one caught his attention the most. So in the shopping cart it went! Fast forward 2 days later.. Shipping was quick and it arrived in great condition. As I was unpacking it, my 2 year old immediately smiled and became interested. Each individual fish is solid and chunky but not heavy, perfect for little hands. He enjoyed naming the colors as they were being placed in. This would be a good one for 18mth- 3 year olds, as my 5 year old only seemed mildly interested. A nice simple little puzzle. I would definitely recommend.

My 18month old loves this puzzle! She is learning colors and this is perfect for her to match everything up. The fish are a thick, sturdy wood. The board is a think particle board/cardboard and i don't think it will last long. But I love the fish and that she gets so much joy out of matching and trying to decide what colors I am looking for. This would be a perfect gift if someone needs a great idea for a young family/friend gift!

Nice toy. Our 18 month-old loves it! Kind of heavy so beware when your little one throws it.

Love these fish. My niece is a hurricane and this puzzle is not exempt from the war path. Been thrown and bashed against things and overall still nice. The board hasn't bowed and the fish havent cracked or chipped but the paint is rubbing off the edges. Still a great puzzle we have a lot of fun playing with before the hurricane starts back up.

My almost-2 granddaughter loves this puzzle. She takes them all out and lines them up and counts them. And is learning colors as well. The size of the fish is great for little hands. The pieces are well-made and sturdy. The colors go through the fish, so nothing to chip off.My daughter-in-law teaches pre-schoolers, so I sent one for her classroom.
