Don't just bathe your dog, train them! At tuff mutt we believe in teaching your pup how to behave! That is why we developed this innovative bath leash. The flexible bungee will keep your dog at ease and gently correct his erratic behavior. Convenience is everything you've just finished bathing your dog, and all he wants to do is jump out and make a run for it - leaving you and your house a soaking mess. The tuff mutt bath leash has a convenient, easy-to-grab handle for you to guide your dog where you want him to go after bath time. No more wet clothes, and watery dog prints on your floor. Not just for bathing! This leash works perfectly for dog lovers who walk their dogs in tight quarters. Just remove the suction cup and easily keep your dog close to you on busy city streets, parks or fairs. The leash doubles as a short lead, and is perfect for training. Strong suction cup attachment please note that this suction cup only works on dry, smooth surfaces. If you have tile, textured, or porous surfaces, the suction cup will not work properly and will release from your wall.

Used as leash with coupler for 2 pups
I'm 5'2" and the taller of my two pups hits right at my hip. I have a wonderful bungee leash that I used when I ran with a single dog but it is about 48" long so if I use that plus a coupler (to run with two dogs), it's just too long and gets tangled. I bought this to use with a coupler since it still has the bungee part which is so handy when !!Squirrel!! but is short enough that it doesn't drag or get tangled. It works perfectly fine for this purpose. I've had it a week or two now. I have 140 lbs of dogs and there have been no quality issues. Like my other bungee leash, I assume this one will stretch out over time but will still retain some elasticity. I've also used this directly with one dog and no coupler. Since I'm short and my dogs are fairly tall, this works much better than having the longer leash, especially now that my dogs have calmed down a little bit and don't pull so much during a run.

Held nicely for my bath-averse 20 lb French Bulldog
My Frenchie has some environmental allergies, so he needs a bath every 7-10 days. It was getting harder and harder to do this at home, since he would just run around inside the tub and try to jump out of it, and it doesn't help the medicated shampoo needs to sit for 5 minutes so there's ample time for him to get into trouble. I did some research and decided on this suction-cup restraint, since I thought it was very smart to use bungee material - that little bit of give means it's harder for a dog to just yank it off the wall. The one downside is that this has to be attached to a collar, but an easy and affordable fix was this Martingale Collar It's loose enough to easily provide access to his neck for scrubbing and rinsing, but restrains him without appearing to hurt him.Others have noted they didn't do any particular prep to their tub or tile, but I did. I used a basic bathroom tile cleaner with a sponge, rinsed, and allowed it to air dry. Then I wiped the surface down with rubbing alcohol using a lint-free cloth, and let it air dry. Finally, I rinsed the suction cup with warm water to make it extra pliable, and pressed as much of it to the surface of the tile for 60 seconds, and then didn't touch it for 48 hours. We had no problems with him attempting to pull the lead off of the wall - I sometimes take him to a "Laundermutt", so he understands the restraints can't be pulled too far - and once he realized he couldn't really escape, he became resigned.Very pleased with the product and may order a second just to have it around.

Might be nice if there were different sizes
Really well made but not for small dogs or puppies. The leash and hooks are heavy duty and heavy for a puppy. My puppy is under three pounds now this is overkill. The bungee part of the leash is hard for an adult to stretch. I will hold on to it in hopes it works when she is full grown.Might be nice if there were different sizes.

Very satisfied with this product
We ordered the Tuff Mutt Bathing Leash to use in our grooming salon bath tubs. One of our groomers used a bungee type leash for her dog and the concept was a selling point to purchasing your product. We have very few pets that try to leap out of the tub while getting bathed, but the Tuff Mutt offers enough resistance to help deter them from trying. For those that do try, the bungee isn't an abrupt jerk on their neck, so that helps prevent injuries. The only issue we have found is that there needs to be some type of restraint on one end to use on the pet itself. We do not leave collars on the pets that are being bathed, but use grooming loops or nooses like we do on our grooming tables to keep them in the tubs. Adding a restraint of some type would be a great help.

I purchased this once before and removed the plastic piece and use it clipped to my waist jogging leash instead for my SD.
Now I purchased a couple extras because I tend to misplace them. I love the length, I love that it has the handle I can grip when I need to. It's the perfect length for my American bulldog and for my Australian Shepherd to both stand and lay down next to me.

works great
We have an outdoor shower that we use to wash the dog. I installed a ring on the wall that we attach the short leash to to hold the dog on the wash mat and it works fine. I didn't use the suction cup, I'm not sure how strong it would be to hold a big dog.

Works fine
Stuck to the tub when I used it to give my dog a bath. Didn't have to do any particular prep to the surface. That being said, my dog stays pretty still when she realizes she's not getting out of getting a bath so I didn't have to test it too much.

Great purchase!!!
I have used this for two of my dogs so far. One is 13 pounds and the other is 40 pounds. I was skeptics of the suction cup at first. But neither dog was able to break the suction. It was long enough that they could attempt to jump out of the tub, I didn't want them to be able to that and claw at the sides, so I just moved the leash higher up and that kept them in the middle of the tub.
