Q: What size is the threaded screw on top?

I am pretty sure it is 3/8", the same as tripod base to tripod head, not the usual 1/4" tripod to camera connection.

Q: What are the minimum and maximum heights? Can the height be adjusted between the min and max? thanks

Not really adjustable, unless your camera were *really* light - then you could raise it up by folding the legs in. Otherwise, an inch and a half (min/max) or so?

Q: How is this different/better/worse than the Manfrotto PIXI mini tripod?

The Mini is lower and spreads wider than the Pixi. It has a 3/8” stud but in head, and will support up to 22 lbs. The Pixi has a built-in low capacity ball head.
