Sun ZeroOslo Theater Grade Extreme Total Blackout Rod Pocket Curtain Panel, 52" x 95", Pearl

I've bought many "blackout" curtains over the years, but rarely did I actually get a curtain which can create a true blackout effect. I have learned, however, that the darker the color, the closer you get to blocking all the light. So, when I ordered the "Pearl", my expectations were low about how well they would block light- but the low price reeled me in to go ahead and purchase these. We are having another ridiculously hot summer and I needed something on my southwest-facing windows to keep the sun from making the AC work so hard to keep the house reasonably cool. Because I already had curtains hanging, I used tension rods (both at the top and the bottom) to hang these INSIDE the window frames. The hem of this curtain is another pocket (or sleeve) that a rod can slip through it, just like the pocket at the top.Not only do they help keep the heat out, they also darken the room much more than I could have hoped. They did so well, they I came back for more of them in COAL to put on the windows in our home theater room. Those work exactly like a blackout curtain should. Just remember, if you cannot position the curtain INSIDE the widow frame, to get the best light blocking effect, your curtain rod must be a MINIMUM of two inches beyond the window's opening. That means: at least 2" higher and 4" wider (2" on each side), as well as 2" longer.

I was skeptical of the quality of these curtains due to the low price. Historically, I have purchased other lower priced “black out” curtains and light still filtered through them no matter what I did. I ordered these in the stone color, which is a satiny, smooth beige /champagne color in my opinion. they did come out of the package, quite wrinkly and folded creased. I just use my handheld steamer and the wrinkles fell right out without any problem. They are nicely neutral and complement pretty much any Decor. The most impressive thing about them, though, is that they truly black out sunlight The room is very dark throughout the day if I don’t open them.

Total blackout if you get the curtain rods that are closest they can be to the window itself, great color, great material

I have had these curtains for a couple months now and I LOVE them they block out so much light and are perfect for me because I do not like the natural light when I wake up. You can see it the picture the sliver of light coming through that was a part of my curtain I left open just so you can tell how much light it is blocking out, truly recommend this purchase?
