I've used steam mops, they've all built up scale to the point of being useless within a couple years at most plus the pads always seem to be in the laundry when most needed. Cleaning up a doggy accident from a large dog? Forget it. So I went back to swifter types but with my own DIY cut microfiber cloths. Either I'm constantly changing them or washing them out by hand. Too tedious when cleaning a larger home especially with physical disabilities. I despise regular mops, so what's left? I decided to try the odd looking Libman. I LOVE IT! I found the perfect device in the Libman. Not only can it mop floors, I use it to scrub baseboards, mop UNDER furniture, get those tiny crevices clean between furniture and the wall but it's far more versatile! You know that annoying area behind the toilet and alongside the toilet, yep!, it can clean those areas too (And the toilet too if you're creative!) I was struggling to clean cobwebs off our porch, the Libman does it better than anything else I've tried! Thankfully they are economical enough I bought a second Libman so I have one on each level of our home. Now how to use? Soak for several minutes. I found it easy to use with the shower / tub. I have a spray bottle with pine sol that I spray prior to mopping. Sometimes I add an ounce of clorhexadine to the spray bottle since we've been exposed to hospital acquired MRSA. Just spray an area, let sit a few minutes then mop. I usually start by spraying several areas as the mop is soaking, then I mop an area or two, then spray additional areas, allowing them to set up while I finish the first areas. This allows the chlorhexadine the needed 5 to 10 minutes to do it's magic. Since I'm disabled it's easy to do smaller areas with breaks in between, especially since it cleans sooo much more thoroughly than other methods! Each time I rinse out the mop I use the clean mop on baseboards and lower furniture legs first, before resuming on the floor. It's a real back saver! I have a quarterly cleaning routine so each week basic maintenence is done, then each week focuses on deeper cleaner of a specific room or area (like front hall and front porch). This way I know each area gets a deep cleaning periodically without killing myself lol, the Libman is very instrumental in my efforts! The instructions state to use with hot water, warm water is fine. Though the instructions state to use the power wringer 4 times while rotating, just once is perfectly fine for my use. The power wringer locks in place while mopping while still being easy to use when wringing. I love the fact my hands never touch the dirty water or mop head! Extra tip: the Libman mop is superb for cleaning ceiling fans, even those hard to reach fans! No more climbing precariously on beds and furniture to reach the top of the fan blades. Just clean the fans more frequently (since it's easy!) to avoid knocking large dust bunnies onto the areas below....

I love my Libman wonder mop. Here's the thing. I hate cleaning. The lower floor of my house is about 1000 sq feet of laminate. Most of the time I spot clean with the Swiffer and run the Mint over the floor. However every few weeks (ok, once a month or so), I have to actually mop the floor). This mop is perfect for me because: #1 It wrings out really well (and easily). With Laminate, you want to limit the amount of liquid, so it doesn't get in-between the boards. #2 It does no good to mop a floor with a dirty mop. Its easy to clean the mop heads #3 It's lightweight. I go over floor 2 or 3 times in one session. My aging back and shoulders can cope throughout the project. In my house, sponge mops are right out. I just hate them. With traditional rag mops, they heads are permanently attached. It's a royal pain to try and get them clean between mopping sessions. With this mop, I make my first pass over the floor then toss the mop head in the washing machine and go over it again with a new, clean one. It's a quick and easy change. The heads come clean in the wash cycle and are sturdy enough to last through several washes. You do have to buy additional mop heads separately. the whole works are pretty cheap for the high quality. As for the light weight. The hollow aluminum handle might feel cheap to some. You do have to put your own elbow grease into the rough patches without counting on the weight of the mop to help. I like it though. Mopping 1000 sq. feet 3 times is the equivalent of mopping 3000 sq. feet. With my old wooden mop, my back would give out before the floor was clean.

I hate mopping, so I was prepared to hate this mop. I was happily surprised to be wrong. Best mop I've ever owned. The mechanism for wringing out excess water is simple and efficient and my hands stay clean and dry during the process - it alone is worth the price of the mop. The microfiber strips work very well for picking up dirt and do not become tangled or bunched. I keep the mop with the wringer over the strips when not in use; it seems to help keep them untangled. Still not fond of mopping, but having a good mop makes the chore bearable.

Good and easy to use, don't have to put your hand in water.
