Perfect For The Kayak
Excellent fish finder. Mounted on my kayak. I can tell when there are fish around and structure on the bottom. GPS is accurate as well.

Great features for the price of this unit. CMAP chartploter ,waypoints. Downscan ,Sidescan and 2D sonar. Screen mirroring to tablet or cell phone. This is really nice when you’re at the opposite end of the boat the MFD is located at. I can see Structure on lake bed with amazing detail. Expandable functionality with active target transducer and s3100 module. Intuitive design. Perfect size for my Basstracker console. 9 inch Elite FS fits behind my windshield with room for my coffee tumbler in cup holder.

Excellent unit lightyears better than. My humminbird
This Lowrance elite fs 9in has been the reason for my last 6 trips on lake stevens pulling limits of kokanne. If the sonar shows a school off to a side I deutsch to side scan and find the side where the fish are and mark them. I then swing around in my 120 pdl kayak and pull fish from that school. I get better using this elite fs every week when I hit the water. I was gkingbto buy the HDS but for a kayak the elite is amazing. A 20ah lithium battery on Amazon is $60 and more than you need fir a day fishing and only weights 6 lbs. Everything has come along way so I woukd say get the elite sf and start feeling like your cheating because you can actually find and stay on the fish much easier. If your fishing from a kayak yak hobby has the best mount for the transducer, it's very over built and easy to fit to your kayak especially if it's an oldtown 120 pdl.

Not at all what I was hoping for.
Works as a depth sounder, and shows fish, but don't expect a lot more. I've watched dozens of videos on how to set the unit up as well as tuning the transponder location and fitment. The side radar does not seem to work for me.

Great machine
EZ to use. Just too small, sent back an got a 12" Simrad to run Florida Marine tracks Mapping. Easier to see.
