Q: Will it stand up on its own?

Yes, it will! However, if I am being honest. I would not recommend this product. Very cheaply made. My first day using it on a business trip. The lock would not stay locked and kept popping open making travel very frustrating. The company sent replacement parts however, I only found myself to be even more frustrated trying to replace the broke part. Even the replacement parts are cheaply made. The only good thing about this bag is the presentation. It’s a beautiful bag just poorly made. Good luck!
