Erno Laszlo Break from the Burnout Set

A really nice collection of facial products that cleans well and moisturizes. It all comes boxed in a sturdy box with little indentations for each item. One of those boxed collections that is presented in a way that lets you know that you are about to experience something special.Two of the four products are designed to clean the skin. There's a clear detoxing cleanser with little black pellets that I suspect are some sort of charcoal particles. They are suspended in a clear gel and do not sink. They kind of remind me of bubble tea without the effects of gravity. The gel is a bit thick and it works great on the skin to clean away what needs cleansed.The black tube is a pink clay pore cleansing mask. I found that it goes on kind of thin which is plenty enough to clear the pores. You may choose to apply a thicker layer on more problematic areas. It seems to work well and rinses off easy and leaves the face feeling clean and smooth. The tube is not going to last long though. You may get two or three uses out of this.Then there are two packs of eye serum masks. Unlike most facial sheet masks which have serum soaked white cloth type of sheets, these are clear thick get patches that seem like some sort of rubbery plastic. You will have to pull them away from the layers of plastic coated paper they are placed between. They adhere to the skin easily and stay in place until you remove them. They work quite well and soften and hydrate the skin. There will still be a very small amount of the serum in the pouch that you can slide your fingers in to rub over any other part of the face not covered by the patch. Honestly, I wish that these were cut out to be for the entire face. They really feel lovely and work well to help make the skin look younger.Lastly, there's a pink metallic tube with an eye gel cream. This was my favorite of the whole collection. It comes with its own scoop attached to the inside of the top, very much like how a mascara wand has the brush attached to the inside of the top. This eye gel cream is a lot like a really good thick serum. Though it's designed to be used on the eyes, I like to apply some of it on other parts of my face. It feels really rich and luxurious and my skin just loves this stuff. It is very wet at first and will need a few moments to absorb and then dry; minutes that are well worth the wait.Once I was done, my skin both felt and looked great. The whole collection work very well together and the effects lasted all day. A great collection to pamper yourself, as well as a nice gift for someone who also loves a bit of tender loving care.

This Erno Laszlo “Break From The Burnout Skin Wellness Set” is so fun to use as it’s like having a mini spa day at home. The set includes enough for two people to enjoy all the treatments and still have generous amounts of 3 of the 4 products leftover. This set is relaxing to use, and I get immediate results. It leaves my skin extra clean and clarified, brighter and noticeably firmer. My skin also feels refreshed and invigorated. It’s a great set.This set may be best for normal to oily skin as I have dry skin and the Pore Refining Double Cleanse and Pore Cleansing Clay Mask feel somewhat drying to my skin. Still, my skin looks and feels great once I add a rehydrating serum and Laszlo Firming Cream (not included) after I’ve removed the clay mask. I couldn’t use the cleanser and pore mask regularly, but I like them for occasional use when my skin is looking drab. Also, this set has a sensitive skin warning on the box (“Not Suitable For Sensitive Skin”), though I have sensitive skin and haven’t had any irritation. I enjoy all of the following four items in the set:▪️Pore Refining Double Cleanse: This is a clear, gel type charcoal cleanser with suspended oil capsules. It turns into a white milky (not foamy) cleanser when applied to my damp skin. It feels cooling and refreshing, and it deep cleans and clarifies my skin. It does dry my skin in that it feels tight, but I’d expect that from a charcoal cleanser. While not ideal for my skin type, I still enjoy the deep clean I get and use it periodically. This cleanser is sized generously.▪️Pore Cleansing Clay Mask: This is a pretty pink kaolin and bentonite clay mask. Because my skin is dry, I focus on areas where I have enlarged or blocked pores and mainly apply it to my nose and chin areas. It feels cooling and refreshing. I leave it on 10 minutes until dry and remove it with a warm wash cloth. My skin feels a bit tight and dry after, but my pores appear minimized and my skin looks brighter. The tube is a good size that will last for many applications.▪️Multi Task Eye Serum Mask: This includes two fancy looking sealed pouches, each with a set of eye gels in clear serum. The gels are large and cover all around my eye area. The serum feels soothing and refreshing, and it hydrates and smooths my skin. But what really stands out is how instantly firm the skin around my eyes looks and feels. These have nice ingredients like green algae, niacinamide, sodium hyaluronate, vitamin C, etc.▪️Multi-Task Eye Gel Cream: This is lightweight but alcohol free and contains an algae complex. It adds moisture and smooths my eye area, but what I love most is the noticeable instant firming effect. The pretty tube has a unique swipe applicator that spreads the yellowish gel cream as it’s dispensed, and I lightly pat it around my eye area. I needed to press the applicator about 8 times to prime it, but it works perfectly now. My eye area looks youthful using this gel cream.I love the whole experience of this set from the lovely packaging, how refreshing the products feel, the product quality, the benefits and how relaxed I feel after the routine. I’m especially impressed with the purifying and firming benefits. I definitely recommend this set, with the caveat that the clay mask and cleanser may be too drying for dry skin types and the box has the sensitive skin warning (but I had no sensitivity). This set would be a lovely gift. Love it. 5 stars.
