Q: i just bought a Roland juno ds-88 and wonder if sounds can be downloaded into the juno?

The Juno-DS88 and the JD-Xi have different sound engines, so it is not possible to load sounds from one into the other.

Q: For the same price as the korg minilogue, i'm torn between the two. do the features of this enable it to sound as smooth and less dubsteppy?

if your inquiry iz-with regardz 2-the analog voices and thier filters and such. i-thought they were quite-Smooth. i-hope that helps. good-fortune 2-U and this future possible-purchase . . .

Q: I have watched some impressive videos with this thing that leave me wondering.. Just how long can your sequences be?

If you set the tempo to the lowest and press "Real Time Rec" then play whatever you want however fast you want, you get up to 8 bars of music lasting quite a bit. Or if you use the Step sequencing, then 8 bars of up to 16 notes each.

Q: Can this guy get me some NIN-esq nastiness & goodness?

I'm not sure what a "NIN-esq" is. However, this machine will surprise you. At first it seams not; explore it. You will be impressed. I was looking for a vintage synth but couldn't find one with in my budget. I bought the Roland JD-Xi and got what I wanted and so much more. For the money, its a good start.
