Each color is a different output power tap...5, 15, or 20 watts. So connect the black to the amp minus or ground, and one of the wires to the + or hot of the amp. I'm not sure which wire is what power, but it's a safe bet that the red is for 20 watts, the white or green is for 5 or 15watts. It won't hurt to try one at a time. Do NOT connect all colored wires together. Pick the one you want and tape the others off. Hope this helps.

No, This is 70V PA speaker. It requires a PA amplifier that has a 70V output. A 70V system allows you to put speakers is series without changing the impedance. Your MP3 player probably only has an 8 ohm output to drive a speaker.
