Post caps design allows secure press fit installation on posts as long as post are standard 2.5 x 2.5 inch. Cap fit over the post around 0.7" Post caps won't fit on post even slightly over 2.5 x 2.5 inch. Please measure your fence posts and make sure that you are ordering the correct size of the post caps. I 've tried several fence vendors in the Chicago land area for replacement caps without success. Went on line to Amazon and found a supplier. Very reasonable price and the item arrived in a couple of days. It was perfect fit after I cleaned out the litter that filled up the fence post while the cap was missing. Amazon, thank you.
